I hope i posted this in the right section... my question is how long does it take for finished series to have its bluray set completely released ?

My question is for 12 episode long animes (since i guess for 24 its just double the time it takes for 12 episodes).

For Japan, i'm not interested for the US.

Usually in like 6 months, because each disc usually only has 2 episodes and some omake/extras. And after a serie is finished , the discs are usually released every month
Note that i was using "usually", because i have seen some exceptions before

Thank you, the reason i was asking was because i'm making an list with shows that i'm awaiting for bd releases and i had no idea what timeline to set.

I have a second question, because i totally forgot about this, usually how long does it take for a movie after beign released in cinema to hit bd ?

If you take the new Naruto film coming out in December as an example, that will probably be available in February maybe March. I would say 2 months at the least for films and for series probably 4-8 months.

For films it can be as long as over 6 months...

Some series don't get complete box releases, so you have to buy every single bd/dvd's (sometimes the first bd/dvd happens to have a box to bundle your discs in though).
Those discs are very often to be on sale on the same month or the month after the final episode has aired and so then you will have a complete set after 6-7 months after a show has ended
