I wasn't expecting this trailer to come out before the release of Captain Marvel and Endgame. I wonder if this is set before the events of Infinity War?

Pete said they were on a field trip to MoMA in Infinity War so this wasn't it. Some articles say this is after Endgame but Peter's passport seems to be missing the year of issue and expiration so it could be placed before The Decimation. I dunno who to believe right now.

As for the enemies, they could be the Elementals. Hellfire, Hydron and Magnum already shown. Though their origins might differ here.

@belatkuro It has been confirmed that the Elementals are in the film but I think they might be combined with other villains from Marvel for example the water one combined with Hydro-man, the fire one combined with Molten-man and maybe the earth one combined with Sand-man (unsure on this one) because the MCU has done this before here list of them:

I love how they’re continuing to use the original cartoon theme for MCU Spidey’s theme. Epicness and nostalgia combined into one.

I like that they kept Flash's fanboying over Spider-man.

As for the giant elementals, they could always just be illusions created by Mysterio.

Well, maybe its only Hydroman as real ones with other Elementals are illusions created by Mysterio.
The timeline most likely before Decimation; not only time on passport, he got Fury approval could be reason why he is confident following Tony assuming the aliens are on same level as them.

Seeing Fury visiting Peter reminds me his portrayal on previous Spiderman animation.
Basically the closest local hero to Fury; talkative to older heroes (Cap, Stark, etc) while also mentor for new ones.

Multiverse? Then they better bring out (the real) Mandarin and (another?) Iron-Man and have them interact and battle it out like in the comics & cartoons. How come from 2008 until 2019 we still have no good villain for Iron-Man in his three solo movies? Every single one of them is a disappointment.

They really got me in the feels with all the Tony stuff. On the other hand, multiverses! Guess we know how X-Men and the FF are coming in. Really looking forward to how the MCU evolves from now on.
