Yeah it’s not bad at all, but the way the former illustrator showed emotion was much better. Before, Lux would be all wide-eyes/narrow-pupil-ed to show his extreme surprise (rightfully), but here his reaction looks.........stoic, especially in comparison to the old illustrations. Not as much emotion as the previous illustrator.

Actually in a scene like this it's the lack of emotion that is telling. He's not surprised, but not indifferent either. You get the feeling of peace and comfort. (Or at least, less discomfort than expected)

That would be true if that was what this was. It isn’t.
First, you can tell by Lux’s face that he’s surprised and isn’t at peace or comfort. (just in the stoic art that doesn’t duplicate the previous illustrator’s emotional drawing) He’s being Lux. Which bring us to.......
Second, it’s Lux. He would never wake up with peace and comfort in such a situation. He would freak out.

Looks quite good to me, but i will wait untill i see this illustration in better quality and bigger size to pass final judgment about it's quality.

I don't think that Lux looks smaller(or that he is smaller than Airi) it's just that we don't see his entire body(we don't see his knees or feets etc.) on illustration.

To be honest, former illustrator had more time and therefore experience,(he made covers and illustration for 16 volumes that's quite a lot) with Saijaku series, unlike new illustrator because it's his first Bahamut volume(i don't know if he has experience with LN"s) and we've only seen so far only 2 his illustrations(Cover of volume and one illustration) we need to wait to see more of it(in bigger size and better quality too)
