Finally made it through an eight-episode marathon of the series.

Vivid Red Operation and Date A Live both the same story type: a serious plot that is laced with cliches and references to other anime series and related media. However, Date A Live was able to handle the action, the humor and the serious stuff better than VRO. DAL was able to handle itself quite well, something that VRO struggled to in the most part.

Although they seem the same, DAL was a more enjoyable watch for me.

The OP theme song is one of the best this season, although the ED is totally off in most circumstances. That said, Tohka's theme BGM is totally heavenly.

Series #168 GET!

The second half OST for date a live came out recently and I'm so, so glad that both Kurumi's theme and Kotori's "Boss Theme" from ep 10 are on it!

It's too early to come up with actual numbers before 1 week has past. At the very best, you only have the sales ranking on the 1st and 2nd day for now

For the people who can't read デート・ア・ライブ, it's on the 4th and 5th place respectively.

So at least for the moment the only things outselling it are One Piece and some shoujo series? Sounds pretty good to me.

Just saw the BD/DVD version of episodes 1 and 2:

Aside from the scenes added on for the director's cut (which somebody posted a storyboard for a while back), they (naturally) took out the cesnsoring in the episodes; one of the more notable part being in the OP before the title, the part where the screen pans by Tohk,a Kotori, and Origami before the series title is shown.
