Not sure about Battle Continuation, but Mad Enhancement has varying effects. B rank leaves the servant with a modicum of sanity, along with the stat boost. A rank makes them behave more mechanical (and possibly obedient).

He was also under Mad Enhancement as well, which may have played a part, in addition to requiring his last ounce of strength. Even so, Heracles is Heracles.

Even without divinity, Enkidu is an NP and is tough to break. The bonus against divine enemies is more of an add-on.

Yes but what level of NP is the chain? I mean we have seen NP break when a strong enough Servant hits them and Gilgamesh has only use the chain to stop enemies with Divine blood. Lancer, Iskandar, Heracles... did he ever used on Saber or any Servant without divinity attribute? They say it will be a normal chain if there is no divinity present so maybe a normal Servant like Lancelot, Saber or even True Assassin could break free seeing how they have A or B rank in strength.

It doesn't have a rank. It's E-A- Anti-unit in my estimates, failing to chain the god that surpasses gods....

The only non-divine character it was used on was Shirou.

@Phoenix: C: Lancer survived against Gae Bolg. Probably C survives one fatal attack or so....
A or B: Berserker survived against A grade Noble Phantasms when he was chained and died to Gae Bolg.

The difference between Archer in Extra and the Archer in the discussion is that Extra Archer was not allowed a certain tactic. In the discussion, we're being asked to strip the archer of his bow.

No, it's supposed to show his level of devotion to Ilya, in that he was able to break the unbreakable chain that binds the gods in order to try and save her after she cried out in pain.

Well in the end Hercules isn't the best example because his case was special. The chain remains the same for all divine blood Servants and I will like to see a non god Servant bound by it.

As far as I know just makes you even more crazy as it gives you strenght. But that could be an interesting side effect.

I remember reading that somewhere, but i'm not too sure if it comes from an offical source, so i might be wrong, but a reduction in divinity rank would have made breaking Enkidu easier with the strenght boost of mad enhancement

The only two characters that have a reduced rank in divinity are Medusa and Gilgamesh.

Medusa because of her being turned into a Monster and Gilgamesh because he hates gods and rejects his own divinity.

Ko-Gil on the other hand gets the full benefit of being 2/3rds god.

But, yeah, Herc doesn't take a penalty for mad enhancement.

This is probably the only post I'll get to make here before a certain over-bearing admin decides to evict me from here as well.

Well in that case if they are both trap, Saber could break the chains but Gilgamesh not. I mean is not clear if the chains affects gods worse or if thise makes it stronger.
