ah I loved this episode , my fave so far.
it has.....,ahh too many to write, it's just that it has so many of the little things that I like about the show, and it blended everything perfectly, with almost everyone showing thier stuff (too bad shiori wasn't able to shine much...), well done well done. For Tamako though I think she's more than a mochi-head and actually did remember Mochizou's birthday, and not because of Anko. For that last scene when Tamako went back inside to get the mochi with candle, Anko looked surprised/wondering too. Not to mention the mochi looked quite prepared too. Also from the discovery of her father singing the song to that scene it was all one hectic scene after another I can't see a point where Anko would have reminded Tamako (Anko & Mochizou came from Yuzuki's place from the other direction & just met up with the others at the Cafe's entrance) and before that Anko was too preoccupied with her own problems and nothing to thank for either. I think Tamako might surprise a lot of people at the end.

Cute!
I think I like Choi now more than Anko. Anyways kinda think KyoAni stole something from Lucky Star here. Remember the episode on Lucky Star Konata was born and Kanata said "Oh look she has your mole dear.", seems they took that idea with Tamako's mom's mole. Truly KyoAni

I'll be honest - just like GJ-bu I pretty much like every chara who has shown up in the series so far.
But still ... I am puzzled as to where the series is going ... and this is coming from someone who is a Tamayura fan lol! I guess part of my puzzlement stems from the fact that I somehow expected there to be more of a straightforward story bound up with the arrival of the prince. But thus far that seems to have taken a back seat to the slice of life elements. Which I am not complaining about per se - I suppose I am more surprised. Still - we will see how well the series as a whole turns out. ^^ That being said - I thought this ep was very heartwarming, and in so many ways.... Anko, Choi, Mochizu and of course Tamako's father as well. I still kinda feel we could see a little deeper into Tamako though. Thus far she still feels "underdeveloped" - almost still pure and childlike. Of course such people do exist in the world, and maybe this is what gives her the quality of that particular "small" Choi recognized? Who knows.... But I also kinda hope the series will show a little more of the world in her soul through some kind of conflict.

imho the ending is a bit predictable in 2 ways. Choi likes the Prince, Tamako has "that scent" that Dera and Choi are looking for and of course Mochizou and Midori are Tamako's closest friends. If you some it up you can formulate an ending, but who knows KyoAni might surprise us again like in this new episode.
