ANN knows fck all about reviewing, if R+V is cliche and formulaic with "boring and predictable huuuge arcs" then Bleach should have been thrown in the freakin purgatory years ago.

It would seem that "Carlo" seems to like writing scathing reviews, but to each their own, can't please everyone. We all know we like it, so that's all that matters.

I also dunno if that's an indirect bashing also, since R+V had a season1 manga now an ongoing season2 with the story and artwork improved over 9000, plus a great line of merchandise and 2 games to boot. One reason I don't look at reviews, I just watch and read any anime/manga that interest me.

I don't mind going over reviews with actual basis...but it seems to me that someone didn't like a harem and took it out on the entire genre, didn't even bother reading the story and just saw some screenshots and random comments in 4chan or something...comparing Hokuto to LIGHT?! Light, of all people! Saying the story was predictable? So he already knew how Tsukune turns ghoul and Kiria or whatever his name was, was the actual villain behind the antithesis? Drawn out battles? This isn't bleach! And don't get me started on art.....

I feel that review is an indirect bashing of the manga.

I dont think the guy like manga or anime the reviews I have read from him have been almost always bad. Also everything he described in the first paragraph sounds like One Piece, but it is still one of the better mangas out there.

It's a common pitfall review writers often fall into: watching lots and lots of anime or reading lots and lots of manga one after another, and having to point at the flaws (real or perceived) to try and make themselves look 'intelligently critical', eventually makes them weary and soured on the whole genre.

Actually, there IS one ([Obsidian Order] RV Capu 2 ~chu) where Tsurara gets to "preview" Tsukune in front of Mizore for about 2 pages. However, it seems that perhaps the "Who's your daddy" joke was just a little lost there.

Cite your source plz. A link would do just fine. Don't want to cause unfounded rumors like those for a season 3 of the anime. Only source I've found was this.

The thing about the ANN reviews- don't ever take what they say seriously... if it's good to the fans, then the reviewers find it being shit. About the only thing that they seem to like is when x sacrifices themselves for y, and then they say "it's a beautifully done thing to convey the nature of the theme of sacrifice" or some bullshit like thyat. I occasionally read the read reviews, and shake my head every time...
