It's not as if the game is hardwired to the keyboard and mouse, you have the options to plug in an USB controller now.

Also, with a decent hardware setup, the PC version is superior to the console's. For example, loading time is cut to 5 seconds, frame rate is raised to 60 fps amonst other things.

I was playing some co-op and didn't notice the guy was almost getting the ending. My file was 3/4 ways yet and I have to restart again.

I beat the game some time ago, and it was one hell of a ride.

The AI has significantly improved from the first game; however, while it did relieve a lot of the frustration, it also made the game a bit easier in my opinion. Thankfully, they reminded this problem my cranking up the difficulty on the bosses; I never had a big problem with any of the bosses in the first game, but the first boss alone in this one was a pain in the ass to beat. A lot of people say the psychopaths were a lot better in the first game, but I think I prefer the wonderful cast of crazies in this one. Sure, the first game has Adam the Clown, but this game has Slappy... and everyone loves Slappy!

Combo weapons were also a nice touch, but I honestly never found any incentive to use any combo items outside of a select few. A lot of the combo items are really cool and fun to use, but are not really practical when it comes to needing to actually get things done. I also kind of wish you were able to combine any two items to make something, but maybe that's asking for a bit too much lol.

Also I agree with above poster... gas zombies are terrible terrible creatures. Getting stuck in a dogpile of nothing but gas zombies in the Silver Strip area is easily the most traumatizing thing to happen to me in this game.

Oh my ... rent PC version , immediately pay back ... The controls are just too shitty , you have to edit the file keypad , mousepad in the game location but damn still too crappy + joysticks don't work except Xbox360's one ...
Well better buy it on console .. they screwed up the PC vers .. well at the same time that was weird that they didn't released the first one on PC .. dunno for the PS3 vers .
Guess i'll wait until my bro will lend me his PS3 . Well no worries , there's Fallout NV now

I gave up on the game a few weeks ago and created another character on FFXIV to play with. With regards to the controls and graphics, it is either you sacrifice on or another when you play the game on console and the PC.

Even so, I don't think I can adapt to that.

I think most of us Dead Rising fans are already aware of this.

Strange someone bump up this topic right as I was getting back into Dead Rising 2 to get the genocide achievements.

Yeah, I've known of this for awhile. Wonder if they'll be replacing the weapon making with the picture taking too. As long as I get my Zombie Road move back~

I should also point out that Frank West has the body and physique of Jerry "The King" Lawler~

The weapon making will still be in it. Apparently Chuck will teach him about it in the game. Naturally picture taking will be in too, so combine that with using combo weapons and we got ourselves a FAST leveling up system.

Picked up my pre-order today, and been playing alot of it... gotta say... I'm not dissapointed with this game. I'm not regretting buying it. As a Dead Rising fan, it was something I would've picked up anyway, but it was good to see it wasn't a 100% Copy/Paste of Dead Rising 2... I mean, now we have...

-New psychos
-New survivors
-New Weapon combos
-New zone (Uranus Zone)
-Sandbox Mode (Replaces Online Mode, but you use the money from this mode in Story Mode)
-New story elements
-Several changes make the game overall more challenging
-Added a much needed checkpoint system

Gotta say though... out of all the Dead Rising games so far... I'd have to say that this one would have to be my favourite so far...
Spoiler for In-Game Spoilers:

Even if it's non-canon, I'm lovin' the game to bits~ <3
