i also noticed a frame from ch39 which looks bizarre while i was locating that page in your post kyero.

o.O kurumu looks a bit like a goth in that frame, its simply a cut and paste pic from the scans and no alterations.

nearly everyone had that look when they found out they all had the same idea. Only Moka came in from the front door.

The Viz website is saying volume 2 comes out august 5.

All the other girls are sneaky to get Tsukune in the sack. While Outer Moka is a bit nicer and more normal. One reason why Tsukune is confortable with her.

Goth look of the girls kinda reminds me of L from Death Note. Reference perhaps? Since the doppledanger also looks similar to L. But either way the girls can kick that dopple's ass anytime. LOL

Well, there is the idea of establishing that Moka is Tsukune's girl, but the other girls will still continue to hit on him... that's how a lot of harem series end

only Love Hina has ever had a true conclusion of a definite pairing at the end, if I recall correctly

I can think of a few more Video Girl Ai had a definite pairing althrough getting to that pairing was convoluted. To some degree Ai Yori Aoshi had one too.
