Seijo no Maryoku wa Bannou desu (The Saint's Magic Power Is Omnipotent)

Light novel series "Seijo no Maryoku wa Bannou desu" (The Saint's Magic Power Is Omnipotent) is getting an anime adaptation.

Plot

Quote:
Sei, a 20-year-old office worker was summoned to a different world after finishing some overtime work. But the person who had summoned her looked at her face and said, "This is not the Saint." Is this neglect play!?

Sei left the royal palace and concealed her saint title. She started working at a laboratory where she made potions and cosmetics. She used her magic to grant people's requests and slowly people began suspecting that she was a saint…

Can Sei enjoy her slow dreamy different world life without her saint title being found out?!

Subbed episode is out on Funimation. Looks like it's going to be a 1-cour this season.

Those "bring you back from the brink of death" potions are going to be of limited use if the patient has to be in good enough shape to actively drink them.

Why isn't there a procedure to intubate them and just pour the potion down the tube into the stomach?

Ohh... It's a Narou. They should have made the title the usual 0IQ titles so it would be more obvious and I didn't have to load the video in the first place.
Should I give it points or deduct below 0 for the fact that in a rare moment, it's an otome-type where the female protagonist is surrounded by guys.
...And that one guy from Tales of Abyss.

Surprisingly pleasant low-key episode, and looking forward to seeing more.

Honestly, that was a good first episode. Sei is a pretty likable character and nice to see her starting to find a place for herself. Was summoned into all this without her will and was left without much to do because the Prince is an idiot who doesn't think two powerful beings are better than one.

Sei's boss is interesting as well. He's clearly being told to keep an eye on her and report in for any sign of supreme power at her disposal. And yet he's also clearly trying to not reveal anything. Is he worried about a power struggle for power over Sei if she's revealed to have as much if not more power than the other Saint?

While obviously her harem is starting to form all the characters are pretty likable thus far.

I'm not sure what you think about the title didn't reveal exactly what kind of show it was.

His idea of seijo(female Saint) might be different from others. Since there are already many anime shows about the otome(maid) of Orleans in shining knight armor, he probably look for RPG world.
The show is more into herbal remedy and herbal growing. Maybe the girl is considere as "not the chosen One", so the prince has empathy about her sitution.

The OL(office lady) protagonist would be considered as josei, not otome. JC and JK would be considered as otome.

I mean, a simple 5 seconds of actually reading the description for the series should've told them all they need to know. If they need it spelled out to them any more simplistically than that, I don't know what to tell them.

In his defense, this is an isekai series so it’s no surprise people would get the wrong idea what this series is about.

...I'd argue that it being an isekai is exactly why getting the wrong idea about it is an incredibly silly oversight, but to each their own.

Same. From the title alone, you can guess it's about a female MC getting isekaied into OPness. For the unimportant details of how she is OP, you may have to go to the description, but you certainly don't have to watch it.

When your chosen one ends up being...two people? I guess that's different, and begs the question what happened exactly. Are they both the Saints or is only one of them, probably Sei, the real Saint? Is the other girl capable of doing anything or is the prince's belief that she's the "proper" saint propping her up for a role she's not qualified for ?

Speaking of the prince, it's like Jun Fukuyama is playing a redheaded version of prince Raj...which is kind of hilarious .

I feel like the thing Sei is going to miss the most about her old life is her video games...well, she probably didn't have a lot of time to play them while being so overworked, but still. I guess as a consolation now she's surrounded by hot guys, but I don't think she's self-aware enough yet to realize that .

At least the kingdom is treating Sei right for nabbing her without her permission when it turns out they might not have even needed her, and now she can't go back, but Sei would rather find something to do than sit around and be cared for .

Sei seems to have a deep reservoir of magic power, enough to create some high grade potions far sooner than she should be able to. I wonder what else she can do ?

I found it to be entertaining enough to warrant me watching more episodes

MC seems to be grounded which is a nice change and isn't showing to be a completely op character. I guess we'll see what happened to the other "saint" and looks like we got some stuff lurking in the shadows
