As for his 'singing' hoping to achieve universe peace, well, for over 40+ episodes, that didn't work very well, did it? Never mind that whenever the so-called 'sound force' went out for a fight, an entire fleet had to accompany them on the journey for no other reason than to provide fire-support. Kind of contradicting with Basara's original intent, doesn't it?

As I recall, fighting head-on with the Protodevlin had far less effect for just about the whole series in contrast. And it was only a matter of bad luck that Basara wasn't able to sing face-to-face with Gappernitch for a long enough time before the final episode. That event ended the whole war and would've done so right in episode one had Basara been able to sing for Geppernitch without interruption. (remember Basara was having an effect on him in episode 25, but they were interrupted by the Macross Cannon) And seeing as how if he could get them to, Basar wouldn't have the fleet accompanying him at all, I'd say Basara doesn't contradict anything. But he's not in charge of the military, the fleet needs to defend themselves while he works, and he knows it, so he doesn't try to order them around, he just tries to show them that not everything has to be solved with blowing people up. And he did so.

Anyway, there is no need to beat around a dead horse. As indicated by myself and several posters here already, we are utterly unconvinced by your arguments regarding the 'greatness' that is Basara. You can like whoever the heck you want, but we don't agree. Sorry for the reality slap, but in your case, I hope it hurts more, enough so you can be brought into accepting that very fact.

Well, obviously the same for me and others, so . I also don't recall trying to change your or anyone else's opinion. That's just something you decided to say about my side. You can like whoever you want, and so can I. I'm just merely explaining myself and defend Basara a bit instead of just randomly blaring around "BASARA ROX."

Anyways yeah, there you have it. My point is not to force you to like Basara as you claim it to be, but to give a side of the debate for Basara. I'm fine with calling it quits here, but if you want to pick it up we should probably move it to PMs, lol.
