Darksiders 2 (2012)

Has been confirmed that Darksiders 2, sequel to 2010's Draksiders will be released next year for the XBOX360, PS3 and PC.

For those who may not know the first Darksiders, in that game you got in the shoes of War, one of the 4 ryders of apocalypse, in that game War was tricked to prematurely start the Armageddon, distroying the whole humanity before its time. War had to travel into a quest in order to redeem himself and brought punishment to the risponsibles for his deception.



In Darksiders2 it ha sbeen confirmed that you'll play as the the Ryder Death and the gameplot will be at the same time of the events of Darksiders 1, there has been no much information of the plot, other than the fact that Death is seeking to help his brother in disgrace.



I (and many playesr) basically think that Draksiders 1 was a bomb and one of the best games of 2010 (the title is almost like the perfect hybrid between The Legedn of Zelda and God of War), but for some reason critics didn't saw it the same way. Still, in my personal opinion, is one of the best hack and slash game I've played in this current game generation, and so, I can't wait for Darksiders 2 to come out.

Looking forward to this. Darksiders was a diamond in the rough and is mostly overlooked. Very interesting art and good gameplay consisting of an interesting mix of several other franchises (though personally I found the portal gun overkill) and at times does them better (at least the GoW one) than the original. It just wasn't quite.. 'there' even though it had all the ingredients. I was, and still am to some degree, quite shocked at the 2012 date. That's quite a long time and I hope they, unlike most developers this gen, actually use it.

What irks me already though is the fact that it's a sidequel, playing at the same time as the first one when I thought the other 3 horsemen were .. out of things but it turns out at least Death had his own thing going on.

New area has already been confirmed as twice the size of the first one, which I hope translates in an actual increase in playtime. I finished the first one in barely 21 hours with every single collectible in the game and I hope there is a lot more content in this one.

Oh, and make the weapon upgrades more interesting.


Anyway, I'm looking forward to it.

Well, yeah, at the end of Darklsiders 1 we see War replying to Urile "No, not alone" and we see the other 3 ryders coming in, I think it'll be interesting to see what was Death doing while War was killing the chosen ones of the distroyer, and if you look at the trailer, Death is also using a giant hammer, probably we'll get more weapons here than in the previosu one.

Platforming seems a bit easy (not that it was ever really hard). I appreciate them not showing us the puzzles, though, assuming they're still around.

Haven't played the first game and after seeing those trailers, I'm heading off to buy Darksiders to understand the plot and the series better.

People give it too much hate because of the limited combat. Why does a game need complex DMC combat to be good? The combat was perfect, a little too easy but perfect.

and the story is good and the characters are bad ass. the ending alone made my spine shiver with awesomeness.

Really..i liked the combat system..was well done and varied...

and the puzzle..were really good too! not to mentioned that you had to work hard..if you wanted to level up the weapons..and armor...

Darksider 1 was very underrated...the story is really good...,combat perfect..character development, level up of the weapons..the enemies, all bosses...all good...and many puzzle was really difficult..especially to find secret things..like the final armor...

I think that darksider was and is a good game..

And Darksider 2 seems to be more good,graphics is improved,the development of the character is like a gdr..and the story seems good...

i buy this game for sure...i'm really impressed after watching on youtube a bit...yeah....the graphics is superb, and the gameplay is the same..ho my god....hurry up...i want to play!!!!
