Ah, so they do wrap it up!! I was thinking they might, but the preview for EP52 didn't leave me with that kind of feel. That's good to know though that this series will have a good closure.

To be honest, I didn't think it had all that good of a closure personally. It felt far too sudden. Too much happens in the last 3-5 minutes, to the point where I think they could've easily extended that whole part out into another episode.

Actually, a shift of subject matter back across the previous two episodes would have worked better. They applied the slide and pack principle. Keep them in suspence as long as possible, then rush the ending and resolution. IF they would have paced it out a bit more it might have done away with that "rushed" feeling, although I did like how the ending was done.

My only gripe is they put 26 minutes of stuff into 22 minutes. Hence my time shift comment.

Slightly off topic, but would anyone know a site where I might be able to identify the voice actors for Japanese dubs of movies? I just had the fortune to tune into the Japanese dub of Star Wars on TV Tokai this evening, and I'd swear that the person who provided the voice for Luke is the same person who did Howard in UPS.

Really the voice actor foe Howard is quite famous he did voices from Gundam Seed and lots others here: http://animenewsnetwork.com/encyclop...ple.php?id=443

it doesn';t say he did the star wars role but they could have missed it

Ya know, I'd love to be a voice actor just once in an anime to be able to say I did it. I honestly think it would be neat to be the voice of an anime charecter.

Don't usually pay much attention to the names of the voice actors, so I never noticed how similar all those characters voices sounded until now.

I have a mixed feeling about ep51

the first half seems to be their efforts of trying to pair up the characters back to the original plan, ie. Luna-Kaoru, Sharla-Bell, Menori-Howard, however it feels weird to me, especially after what have happened in the previous episodes, it's just weird not to see Sharla and Howard together...

the second half finally revealed the nature of Luna's special power... hmm... so she is a Newtype? Really anticipating the grand finale now

I don't see the show ever trying to pair anyone up. It's the viewers who keep doing that.

What's been bugging me, is it seems like it was all too easy to win over Survive. I thought he would be the big bad boss they had to defeat. Took more time for the stupid criminals. When the ship stopped itself, I was hoping Survive had planned the whole thing out as a way to kill them all off at once. He was even reluctant to absorb Luna which had become another goal of his. He's such a pushover.

well, the show did

spend a lot of time at the early part putting together Bell and Sharla, and Menori and Howard, and Luna and Kaoru. it's just later from about the Ruin arc that they no longer do things in pairs a lot, and then recently put Howard and Sharla together a lot. and now in ep51 I think it's obvious that they intentionally put the characters in pairs again

that Survive is just following its programming... at first, the program came to the conclusion that people were the cause of the diaster. But once Luna's group came in and showed Survive another side of people, the program switched.

Depending on how you view computers and how you view Survive as either a character or a computer, it's possible to say that it has no real personality. Thus, Survive is on no one's side. It's just trying to protect the planet.

I do agree, however, that I do not understand why Survive was reluctant to absorb Luna. But in regards to Survive suddenly becoming "friendly," it could be explained by the fact that it's a computer program trying to fulfill it's task..

Of course, I do acknowledge the fact that most likely, the writers intended Survive to be an actual character. Eg, like Chako and Tako. So, maybe my explanation doesn't necessarily work in this case. Chako and Tako both have "personalities," but I recall that when Chako was "localizing" Tako, that 'she' said something like, "it would be confusing if you talked like me." That could go to show that the personalities that Survive, Chako and Tako exhibit are truly just programmed... But, maybe I'm overthinking here.

Anyways..... episode 51. What an abrupt cliff-hanger haha. But I guess, what do you expect for the second last episode....

I'm really wondering about Luna now... Man.. maybe it's because I've watched 51 20 minute episodes totaling some 17 over hours of this... but I was somewhat sad to see Luna go that way..... being absorbed into a computer.
Ok.. maybe it was for the better.... but if she truly is now stuck in there (judging by her comments over the intercomm)... That's sad.. What would it be like being a concious being immortalized in a computer? Survive sat there for 1000 years. But being an unconcious being, it has no sense of time. But Luna? I don't even want to imagine what that would be like. Possessing a sense of time, and existing forever in a mechanical structure that is stationary.... I can't think of it..

Lol, but again, perhaps I'm over thinking...

At any rate... I'm going to miss Luna.. She contributed so much to the group. Plus, back to the pairings... poor Kaoru is all alone now... He can talk with Luna through a computer... but still.

But.. I enjoyed it nonetheless. 51 episodes. 1 to go. I can't believe we've been watching this for almost a year now. This is the longest series I've personally watched.

Seems that they were setting up the first half of this episode for one last goodbye. I'm guessing that they're all aware of the overall risk at this point. Then we get to the second half, problems as expected. As close as they already are to the gravity storm, and the ship is already falling apart. Well, I guess there's nothing like charging into the eye of the storm for one final run. Go team!

Can anyone give a summary for episodes 18 to 27 of Uninhabited Planet Survive, as there are no subs available...? I searched the net for summaries, but couldn't find any. I THOUGHT i had found some, but really it was nothing heh ...I wish i wasnt so impulsive...Anywho, if someone could just give a summary of the important points so that I could continue with the series, I would greatly appreciate it! Thanx!
