As much as I hate Touta, Kirie is a complete and utter moron. Why yes, let's go back into a dark alley by yourselves, wasting time on petty and trivial bullshit while claiming you have something important to tell him. Touta might be the biggest waste of space a series has ever seen, but that chick is an idiot to think that her death(s) are caused by Touta alone. Dammit, and you were the character I thought would actually be halfway decent.

Cyborg dude is kinda cool though. Wasn't entirely interesting before, but I'm starting to like him a little.

Well Touta got assigned to be her escort as other had own bussiness. So it was his responsibility. Also five or six deaths are nothing relevant so there is no point getting angry over that. If situation was REALY serious she would probably ask others for help.

Please, the girl is making it easy for someone to kill her. She knows that shits going to go down (Six times is almost inexcusable), so instead of actually taking some responsibility herself and not waste time acting like a petulant child, she should cut the crap and at least try to have some semblance of self-preservation instincts. Worthless as Touta is, you can't pin the blame on him for not predicting the future or magically knowing that they are actually in danger.

Again, we have way too little information on Kirie. What if during one of those six times she did try to stay calm and still got killed? Maybe she thought making a big fuss would have subtly changed when she would be killed (Butterfly effect)? Maybe she automatically told Touta the truth and he didn't believe her? The list goes on and on...

If her immortality indeed makes her go back in time to her last save point, then she just has to keep trying many permutations until something happens. She doesn't need to worry about taking heavy risks.

Sorry for not posting something useful, but I nearly spilled my tea while chuckling/laughing at this sentence . When I tried UQ Holders, Tota was (also) a big reason why I lost interest in it. I didn't follow Negima long enough (only roughly during his final tournament battle against Rakhan, I think) to dare drawing comparisons. Maybe I'll go back on it a few 100, 200 chapters in. Well, I won't make a big fuss about it as my manga fascination declined immensly in general.

Suddenly, we NT9 now. Except nowhere near as... anything. Also, I feel like Akamatsu wants to do stories about all the immortals but something is stopping him. Or maybe it's just me trying to find interesting stuff in this manga.

So, Kirie is actually a little brat? Makes sense, I guess. If her immortality relies on time manipulation, then she probably doesn't need to be that old. Also, I like cyborg dude. No Chachamaru, of course, but will do for the time being.

We got an entire chapter of Karin fighting in the nude. It's just that the girls ratio is waaaaaaaay lower than what we got for Negima, even after it became a shounen, so you might find it lacking. Just as it lacks a good MC.

Kuromaru - Has a crush on Touta but is confused going between boy or girl.

Karin- She has issues about love as it is the reason for her immortality. She feels indebted to Eva and is jealous for Touta being close to her. Oh Touta is the last guy she ever wants to be with if they are the last people on Earth as shipped by Eva. That is why she wants Touta-Kuro's ship to sail.

Kirei- Frustrated she gets killed around Touta. Bit of an S like little Eva was in Negima. Touta only lets Eva step on him.

You forgot Yukihime. After being tortured by the painfulness of a hopeless one-side love, she start to develop feeling for a cute, little boy she's taken care since birth.

Hmmm, I gotta say while Eva's new look as Yukihime isn't bad, I definitely liked her old look better. Her old adult form from Negima was better too and would have served the purpose of blending in as a teacher just as well.

Well, if Akamatsu goes down the path of a romance between Touta and Eva/Yukihime, then maybe she could revert back to her old form for a physical appearance that more "fits" with him.

Or better yet, give us a teenage-form Eva.

That's true. She looks more mature as Yukihime. But then, I think Akamatsu-sensei was going for the mature "oneesan" look with Yukihime.

Still, I like loli Eva when she comes out to play (and by play, I mean squash enemies like bugs).

One could consider Yukihime and Eva to be two separate characters, and I can't say I'd fault them for it. All of the traits that made Eva marginally grounded as a character are all but gone, with the uber-powerful mentor (And a more sedate and particularly lax version at that. Eva being a brutal trainer was her thing in Negima) aspects in full force. There were some stints where the old Eva shined through (Like whipping off her skirt, tossing it Shounen smiley face's head and taunting Nagumo), but its practically done in passing. There's no character that has yet to verbally spar with her and actually get her to show the audience that she is in fact a very fallible person when it comes right down to it. Otherwise, I don't see a point in including her in the story other then to throw Negima fans a bone that superficially exists.

TL;DR: We need to get mother fuckin Alberio back. That guy knew how to press Eva's buttons to hell and back. Oh, and being a likable character and all. We desperately need more of those.

Despite the art being one of the few things that makes this series worth looking at, Yukihime's character design is something that does not thrill me at all. Its probably just the hair, Eva's forehead does her no favors.

From the prologue to chapter 1 it's pretty obvious that Eva's more calm and mature demeanor as Yukihime is due to how hard it hit her to end up parting with everyone from Negima as she lived on while they all died from natural age, hence why she formed a group of immortals, so they'd all have each other even as others died with age.

But with Touta that problem doesn't exist anymore. If Akamatsu does do a romantic thing between him and Yukihime, he could do a thing where her feelings for him, paired with the acknowledgement that she doesn't have to worry about outliving him due to immortality, brings back her old emotions. A bit corny, yes. But I wouldn't mind.

But speaking as an Eva fan now, I demand we have at least one story arc where Eva is robbed of whatever magic allows her to change her form so we can see old Eva again. Just for the proverbial bone throw.

That's one thing, but i belive her time spend with Touta plays equaly important role. Taking care about something force someone mature, which is something she never had to do in her whole immortal life
