Good chapter, but the overall execution towards the chapter itself ( the past few before ) were lacklustre looking back, especially if this is the end of Ultear's story arc in general.

I think I said it before, but the the Racer fight with Lyon and Gray teaming-up should had been reserved for the Ultear fight with an extra slot for a little bit of sexy-time Erza intervention and revelation. ( instead of just Azuma being the tell-tale for Ultear->Jellal manipulation scheme. )

For Ultear, arguably the villain with the most hype and character foreshadowing to be down from the count with just 'your usual Gray fight' was a little bit disappointing.

With that being said, I really liked the flashback used this time round, and the usage of the whole 'Ur flowed to the sea' thing felt quite natural and decent considering. ( Again, if only Lyon were a part of this battle too... I would had liked Lyon to had seen something as well. )

I think it's not surprising anymore to see Fairy Tail's member to be this strong

One thing that I didn't expect was Ultear's past that's different from what I thought. I wonder how she met Hades...pure coincidence?

To be fair, Ultear was defeated by Ul. I don't think she was really that hurt by the end of it; not by Gray's attacks and I'm sure it wasn't his words that got through to her either. Personally I'm a little disappointed that Ultear's story was basically rounded up with "Whops! It was all a big misunderstanding...". Though Gray wouldn't have had a chance to come out of this any other way, and we already had two very shounen-ish "I'm not going down until I beat you" fights with Natsu and Erza, so I'm pretty satisfied with the fight overall.

Hades must have had his hands in that medical facility, and probably many others as well, in order to "adopt" the children with the greatest potential to learn the lost magics.

Well at least it looks like Ultear will stop her attempts at killing Gray but whether or not she switches sides is another matter and tbh I don't want her to(altho there is a little part of me that does want)

Gildartz's line was great lol.
Would have loved to see him at full power tho but then I suspect he would have wiped the floor with Blue note even quicker.

Well, I would think that Jiero of despair would count as one. She was one of the Great Demon Lords that assisted Lucia and was involved in a major fight of her own when the final battle started.

As for the Fairy Tail chaper itself, I found it to be a very interesting read. So we get to find out about Ultear's past and why she turn out the way she is.

I won't be surprise that Hades would be defeated in couple chapter by Gray, Natsu and Erza. Zeref then turns out to be a good guy which link to the dragons.

Hmm... I wonder what Tataros is capable of...
