Anyway, a topic for another thread.

As for this anniversary weekend, I think 30% is enough of a discount for me to finally get the IS-3, despite not having all of the modules I'd want. Too bad that I don't have enough exp built up to unlock the T-44 yet, as I'd buy THAT too.

I could hose all of my free XP to jump past the T-43, but that is, as always, the really expensive option. We'll see how it goes when I move the two-skill T-34 CO, driver, and loader into it.

not too excited about this patch.

also the 85s isn't so bad when its around tier V and VI, but when you hit VII, wow, russians are suppose be known for having big guns, and their still using 85ers. thats pathetic for tier VII, although the church 7 only has the 76er for its final gun, but its got accuracy so u practically shoot and move at the same time and still manage to hit stuff.

I don't mind 85ers and 88s, but when you hit that certain tier where it becomes ineffective becuz it can't pen or it bounces alot, well time to change tanks. although the T32 has the same 105er gun that was on the T29, but it can compensate in hull down camping action..... but its weakness is arty.

The 85s are good guns for tier 5/6 (T-34-85 carry the T-43 top gun, and the SU-85 final gun is a tier 7 version of the T-43 final gun). Besides the pen is ok for its tier (192mm pen on the sides) and the damage isn't bad (180 alpha / 300 alpha in the back). Basically is a gun that forces you to play in team (so don't spect to kill a Tiger with that gun).

But I still curse WG to take away the 100mm from the T-43 (really that thing made the whole tank worth)

Perils of not having voice comms: Couldn't warn ES that he was backing into my line of fire when I was 80% aimed at the hydraulics on the top of a Super Pershing.

Fortunately, I didn't blow him up, and platoon team damage is free.

I oneshoted that Tiger P, did like 1000+ damage and caught in flames in the process. When i saw the T-43 coming to me I though easy cake, then the arty blew my tracks and killed the driver, then it got worse when the IS shooted me and I got surrounded by the T-43, the ARL and the IS. Somehow the comet and the KV-1S arrived to help me and I took the IS. Then they took the T-43 and gave the ARL a nice derpy hat. Almost at the end I killed the Easy 2 by pure luck.

I marked the occasion by trolling a couple of games in the AT-2 and bounding EVERYTHING.

Its last gun does abysmal damage but it pens ok and the fact that you can simply sit there like a bunker and fire uninterrupted somewhat makes up for it.

IS-3 minor amusements: Got into a facehugging match with another IS-3 in the city section of Fisherman's Bay, we both had BL-9s, and we did a cumulative zero damage to each other. I suppose I should have switched to HE, but the perfectly-symmetrical violence did serve my intended purpose, which was to inconvenience the IS-3 long enough for our E-100 to blow it up...

Oh that battle was glorious. Our three Hetzers managed to stop cold a pair of KV-1Ss, and a StuG at the top of the north pass on the Fjords map. All my shots bounced, but I was holding their attention, ducking in and out long enough for UTE to plaster them (and me partially).
