Not sure if that rule applies to movies. Since movies tend to be pretty stand alone even if they have a continuation. @Haak will have to make a call on this. He handles the movie list and this wasn't on the list unless I made a mistake.

Ansatsu Kyoushitsu (TV) is on the list of eligible shows (me and others have voted for it) so I would guess so. It was covered by the split cour rule last year (I believe) and the second season finished in July 2016 so I believe it's correct in being eligible.

Tricky thing about split cours and songs, though... Unless I've forgotten (and I'd bet money that I have), Concrete Revolutio wasn't allowed to be nominated/voted for last year because of the split cours rules. The second cours decided to add "The Last Song" to its title, and did change its credits sequences. So if I wanted to nominate The Last Song's OP, is it fine, like I'm assuming, to just say OP2?

About Rakugo S2, are we allowed to vote a series that started airing in 2017 as Best Ongoing Series in 2016 awards? Unlike Gundam IBO S2 that started airing in 2016, Rakugo S2 began airing in January 7th 2017. I also want to vote for Rakugo S2, but I don't think it fits the category.

About Rakugo S2, are we allowed to vote a series that started airing in 2017 as Best Ongoing Series in 2016 awards? Unlike Gundam IBO S2 that started airing in 2016, Rakugo S2 began airing in January 7th 2017. I also want to vote for Rakugo S2, but I don't think it fits the category.

Ah, good point. I'll leave it for now to see what the award-runners say about it, but I'll change that if I have to.

Go for OP2. I don't think Last Song is technically listed because it should've been combined with the first cour. I'll clarify with felix, but in anycase we know what you mean.

It had to have aired in 2016 at some point so unfortunately it doesn't count.
