TV edit sound good considering the length in the VN opening was almost 3 minutes, and they still went 5 seconds above the 1:30 standard.

No I'm not. If I compare it to their other works and compare the models to the vn models. It looks pretty low budget to me. Reminds me of Busou shinki and yama no susume but the character models there are just being faithful and fitting for the story so I let it pass.

So let's pick at Grisaia(overrated) and Walkure Romanze the vn adaptations of 8bit. I can't say anything for Walkure because I didn't bother to watched the anime when its plauge with fan service. Grisaia is the same but at least Yuuji made it bearable. Those two had... average to good animation. Depending on the events but I'll be honest that its better from what the pv had shown.
Now be honest to me if I'm being harsh and I had watched most of 8bit's work too. Aside from Shounen maid(shota bait) and Walkure. I watched them all and I liked most of their animation works but I can't say the same for rewrite.

Maybe the animation would improved when its aired so I'll wait for my final judgement for the 1 hour airing but my impression of it is already low and low and low and looooooooooooooooooooooooooow.

People are confusing art and animation. Nonaka is a wonderful Chief AD and you can see the fluidity in many scenes in the PV. Some come from running scenes while others come from character animation.

If it's not at least a split cour, I'll don't watch the anime as simple as that. =))))

That "Total" in your post is little preliminarily. Truth is that there is still no confirmation about BD/DVD on official site. Just Amazon pre-registered 7 entries for Rewrite disc releases. Which mean, that this still doesn't need to be final number. Also significantly important is the fact that according of those Amazon entries, each Volume will contain two discs. Which suggests that there will be more than just two episodes in each volume. If this was just one cour series, then they would need just one disc for each volume. So unless they are trolling with huge amount of bonus material, then is nearly sure that we will get more than 14 episodes. For example first season of Little Busters covered 26 episodes within 9 volumes that included 3 episodes per Volume. Second season covered 13 episodes within 7 volumes, but those Volumes also included 8 episodes of EX season. So totaly 21 episodes in 7 volumes. In both cases Volumes had 2 discs.
Of course big gimmick is that "second disc" doesn't actually need to be Blu-Ray/DVD disc with more episodes, but just CD that contain just some audio drama, OST or some similar kind of bonus. Let's wait and see.

More often than not, extra discs are for the extra stuff, not just more episodes.

Well, as I said depends whether extra disc is BD/DVD as well or just Bonus CD.

Unfortunately it seems that worse case is happening.
Animate confirmed that each volume will contain just classic two episodes per volume with first volume containing just double lengthed first episode.
So pretty much 13 episodes for current season.

I pretty much expected this.
I'm pretty sure that there will be another season. All previous 8bit productions had multiple seasons.
Point is just that with first season being 1 cour, it means that most likely structure of series will be
1. season - Common Route + Anime Original Kagari route
2. season - Moon and Terra Routes
So no omnibus and bye bye original VN routes.

Welp the nico live stream was just VAs talking. There was an audio only stream of the episode.

Gathering from 30 minutes of the stream (since it got disconnected at the 30 min mark), there is great BGM throughout the entire episode. The pacing was a bit fast. A couple of gags were omitted. Im guessing something like random ambulances wouldnt have been a good idea in TV format. Great voice acting and it was really fun. There was a couple laughs from the crowd so they were digging it.

Overall it sounded like the first episode is going to be good but a bit rushed with a couple of things trimmed.

They're probably going to all but ignore Moon/Terra and do their own original, Kagari-centric thing. This is all just to promote the game's rerelease anyway, so relax.

There's no way 13 episodes can cover the whole story. Even if it's a split-cour, 26 episodes is still not enough.

I wouldn't be too pessimistic; I'm still fairly confident that -like with Little Busters- we'll be getting a second season to cover the true routes.
