No. I just think it takes a lot less to want to screw someone over who's rubbing their good fortune in other people's faces than someone who aims for a subtle expression of their happiness. Especially given the slightly elevated probability that people will be lacking in the social department on an MMO (very slight) and the frequent assumption of a much higher frequency, meaning these two people are going around people who have a fair chance of being lonely themselves, wearing clothes and bearing names that are pretty much designed to guarantee that no one can possibly miss that they're dating. If they wore just a ring it'd be inconspicuous, and the only ones who'd harbor a grudge toward them would be people who, like the MC, simply cannot stand to see others find love. But the way they are, there's probably a lot of people who have a few things to say about what amounts to extreme, over-the-top bragging.

This week we meet the fluffy bunny Grasswalker Sylvie, who ranks just a little lower than Rem on my best girl scale. Also the poor nervous guild puppies Dwarf girls are adorable.
Of course Shera is a runaway princess, but at least her reasons are somewhat justifiable. A crazy siscon brother who is apparently intent on raping her until they have kids together sounds like a good reason to get as far away from home as possible. On a different topic, it may be worth noting that, while the At-X versions are still censored, at least they didn't take the "Fuck it! White out everything!" approach that the CR version did.

A fairly logical take on why he would be so much stronger here. Even if the world is incredibly similar to the game. Just removing super convenient teleportation and resurrection would set this place on a different path. Not that many dropped into a world with game-like systems would actually go adventuring if they could really die. Not unless there was some extreme need to do so. Such as getting out of that place or starvation. These people can live safe enough without doing anything crazy.
In that respect I'm surprised Rem's entire bloodline havven't been forced to live in captivity. What are the odds anyone in that world stands a chance against what she's got sealed inside of her? At least the show does seem to be embracing what it is. And at least the main characters have enough personality to keep things entertaining. There's no risk to Diablo, but there is potential for him to grow as a person.

I remember even in Log Horizon no one was willing to venture out of Akiba because they didn't want to die. It was only after someone managed to die and confirm the resurrection system that they finally started stepping out again.
Anyway, it's a little funny that a guy who'd played the game until he maxed everything out wouldn't know the name of one of the major nations' royal family. I recall in the novel she actually introduces herself with an entirely unconvincing assertion that it's only a coincidence that she has the same name as the royal house, leaving her identity completely obvious from the start. On a different note, I wonder if the trepidation toward death extends to the monsters too. In games monsters naturally charge at people and try to fight, and they naturally respawn after a little while. In this world there's no respawn, and I sort of wonder whether animals with such suicidal recklessness would really survive long enough to mature and build strength. Could be a double-whammy for adventurer level there: the adventurers are afraid to get in risky battles that could improve their levelling efficiency, and the really mature and strong monsters are smart enough to avoid unnecessary conflict, requiring the adventurers to travel even deeper into dangerous areas to find anything. No wonder 30 is "high" for them. |

I was kind of happy inside the part where the Demon King and the Guild Master did the handshake.
As he never shook hands with someone before. And being called one of the companions meant a lot to him. Even in the game he did not have anyone to be calling him their companion. Last edited by rladls2121; 2018-07-12 at 17:06. |

No doubt that plays a role in the magic system itself. Being a summoner like Shera or being archers like the other elves might be a more popular occupation for anyone that fights. Why take a risk in fighting on the front lines yourself. Get something else to fight for you! Quote:

That's a reasonable explanation for why everyone is so low leveled compared to the game. If you truly have only one life compared to the infinite do-overs you have in a game, it only makes senses that you would be a lot more cautious or even unwilling to challenge high level opponents.
It turns out both our heroines have their own terrible circumstances. One's a vessel for a monster and the other has a crazy rapist of a brother hellbent on producing heirs with her.

So far this is being extremelly funny. Diablo is a very comical character and the two main girls have a nice sinergy between them. Even the ecchi was better used this time and created some nice gags even tho common tropes were used (if only the girls looked like actual women instead of kids..lol). We also have that sense of adventure, mystery and exploration towards this new world and some interesting views by comparing it to Diablo's game, like the leveling up situation. Not going to lie, so far it's being entertaining and way above my expectations. The cool animation during Diablo's spells makes it even better.

I have a wild guess that Diablo chose Rem over Shera.
I don't get the feeling that he'll choose everyone but only one. Just saying, Shera seems to turned into a joke character ever since she was enjoying her mouthful of sausage while Diablo was interrogating and "torturing" Rem. Ignored Rem even though every body heard her scream. To Rem, Diablo is the key. But even if Diablo chose Rem, it is already obvious that his body instinct already chose Shera before he even get to think it over. Even though his heart is towards Rem. |

Anybody else find Shera kinda hypocrital? The way of life that she will have with her brother, the way it was described it sounds like she'll be nothing more than a sex slave(a royal concubine actually...plus Shera will probably treated better).
So Shera wants to get away from that and to do so, she needs to enslave Diablo? what?
