well, people can ship whatever they want and i don't really care, that much. still, the idea of shipping Midori and Mochizou is really puzzling me. i don't see anything in them except they both like Tamako.
and after episode 9, Tamako's parents have become my otp for this show, along with Midori x Tamako. and looks like it's gonna be a Midori episode next. i'm excited already *‿* |

Why does such a moe mother have to go?
Was looking back at ep 4, where Anko was dressed up and her mother was still around. Anko may have been 5 then and currently 10, so it's less than 5 years her mother was gone. Props to Kyoani for letting us remember the sweet memories, but on the other hand, it is pretty sad. |

My experience is that bisexuality can creates new opportunities to mess up relationships: it adds dimensions of success and failure, especially in relationship polygons
The most memorable bisexual relationships unfortunately tend to be the spectacular failures. But I think the key themes of this show are community, friendship, and romance, not passion and lust, so this point may be moot. Dera works as a comic foil because he is more passionate than the other characters, but usually not wiser.

If I recall, Tamako and Choi were walking past the flower shop near the end of episode 7 also, so I'm feeling that sense of suspicion as well.

B-TON! 10 - I Love to Sing-A
Operation, Vivid Midori! There hasn't been a whole lot of focus on the school in this show, opting more for stories about the market (of course), but even this episode adds to the tapestry of the world being created. The characters in the Baton Club (besides the mains) look like they have their own stories that could be told in a spinoff. Tamako Market ~The Baton Club's Youthful Days~ or something. Saya and the twins. Because that hairstyle has to become from somewhere. Midori's creative dancer's block was understandable, everyone has moments like that. I thought the music shop guy might provide the song she ended up using, but apparently not. So the twist that everyone kind of already guessed is revealed, but it's clear that Tama loves mochi more than she loves the chance of living on an island, no matter what a prophecy ordains. Never thought her mole would be a sign that she's the real deal. That, or she's a time traveler. These past few episodes have been really strong - all that remains is the closing chapters. And maybe the Prince will come to Usagiyama? |
