So anybody saw that they've changed the text in the end of the opening (I wonder what was written there, pity that nobody has translated it):
Spoiler for ep.1:

Spoiler for ep.2:

妖精さんメモ (Yousei-san memo).

My stomach hurt after watching this.

The comedic timing and presentation are brilliant, as is the goofy use of the soundtrack to dramatize certain scenes. Strength of the source material aside, the adaptation is superb, the strange in media res chronology notwithstanding.

I've got a buddy bringing me volumes 2-4 of the novel from Japan. Looking forward to that.

(also Crunchyroll needs to fire this translator or assign a competent TLC. The style [and the errors] look mighty similar to other CR shows that I've had issues with...)

Aside from comedy gold, there is something oddly brilliant about Nakahara Mai's style of deadpan self-narration. It's the thread that ties the strangeness of this entire world together into what I think is shaping to be the best show of this season.

Which again, goes to show why she's my favorite VA.

This is great, I find myself laughing a lot, and it's great! The art style is wonderful and the little bits of magic and randomness there are in perfect quantities, it's really a relaxing show to watch.
I hope it doesn't let me down, it's pushing itself up there to be my favorite show of the season

Just saw ep 2, and it was bloody brilliant. So much dark humour and social commentary underneath a facade of cute and happy go lucky. This might potentially be my favourite of the season if it keeps up. Sword Art Online has a serious competitor, though it's insane to compare the two since they are so different. I'll just admit I'm just really liking Tari Tari because of "fanboy" reasons more than merit reasons, so realistically it's outta the picture.

The potential for Jinrui is that might turn into a lesser version of Penguindrum of the year. What's even more surprising is that it's Seiji Kishi / AIC, which have dirt low track records for me - Seiji Kishi loves his silly fratboy slapstick business as shown in Seto No Hayanome, Baka Test, Angel beats and Persona 4, whilst AIC is LN adaptation studio 101 JR (SNR being JC Staff). But here the unlikely duo actually shows massive amounts of creativity. Is it the source material or did the duo suddenly come out of the basement?

Anyone who is not watching this series is seriously missing out.

As a sidenote, ANN seems to love the hell out of this show. Not surprised given the black, dark type of humour.

considering that he's excels at making absurd comedy skits, this series fits his direction style so well. He has the tendency to make really memorable scenes.

also, he didn't do baka test. Think the one you were looking for is Carnival Phantasm

My bad, it was Shin Oonuma who directed, though Kishi did do the series composition. And yeh same deal with Carnival Phantasm. I guess that's just his style, but sorry, I don't like it . The way he's doing comedy here is just gold and hopefully I'll see more of it. In fact I'm dissappointed he didn't in the past and instead relied on the overdone slapstick humour .

Or maybe it's really the source.

I wouldn't call the fishing scene in persons 4 slapstick yet that is the best comedic scene in that series.

Never got to see that far since I dropped the series at about episode 10 because I couldn't take it anymore .

Anyways, this is definitely the hidden gem/dark horse/sleeper hit of the season. Guess this season isn't too bad after all since I'll be tentatively following 3 series: this, SAO and Tari Tari.

This show is getting weired and weirder, that's all I can say about it.

I'm liking our main character more and more. Not only is she cute with that long hair (which is apparently sentient), she seems to have hidden talents we haven't seen much of yet, if making people crap their pants by merely smiling at them is any indication.

I'm loving the dark humor in this show.

Kishi Seiji has no connection whatsoever to Baka-Test as far as I'm aware.

Don't know about Sankaku, but impressions are mixed because of lousy storyboarding and scene composition (a problem with several series from this director). Without cinematography that complements dialogue and comedy well, some viewers find themselves detached from the show, hence it's "boring".

It's a bit of a shame. The script shines through, and the visuals are gorgeous. However, a director with better technical grounding would've gone a long way toward making this fantastic.
