Wow, this thread got lewd and yurilicious fast. Such is the power of a true yamato nadeshiko, and of course, a shy yet dashing prince

I want to love this, but knowing how these games often work, there might be one element I don't like that much. |

I really want to like this, since it's a subject that doesn't get anime too often(dancing) and I love the pretty pretty designs(kimonos! cherry blossoms!)...
but I watched the first two episodes last night and man does the MC annoy with her.....moeness? Does she get at least more confident?

Oi, Naru-chan. Hazukashii serifu kinshi.
Come on, Yaya, you'll be happier if you're just honest with yourself. You know you enjoy spending time with them, and they're not paying attention to your token objections anyway, so why not just give up and have fun properly?

That entire episode was intensely genki and filled with emotion from start to finish - between Naru and Tami poor Yaya never had a chance. Man. Defeated consistently at every turn!
Interestingly in the midst of all the high energy we saw teeny glimpses into Hana, Naru and Tami. This was definitely an ep presented from Yaya's perspective, in a way. She is peeking into the effect Yosakoi and the newly established club she was shanghai'd into (roundly destroyed by Naru's "through-the-roof" kawai factor) is having on the other members and is both intrigued and surprised at the same time. For me, while Naru's lovely expressions of inspiration and newly found happiness were heart-warming and Tami's gentle, radiant blooming and slowly growing magnanimity was beautiful, what impressed me the most was the quietness and stillness of Hana, who was so moved and overwhelmed by what she was experiencing in seeing Yosakoi live again that she was touched to the core and eagerly drank everything she was seeing in. Thoroughly lovely. Machi has yet to join, it seems (another victim of Tami's excitement in permitting a temp club space next to the roof entrance), but I am looking forward to her joining in.

It's funny considering Hana's the foreigner of the group.

I guess what impressed me is that we got to see a few more glimpses into the quieter part of who Hana is when she is not going full throttle, in a way. I have a hunch there may be a bit more going on there than her high energy modus operandi lets on and that may even slowly be unveiled as the story continues to develop. Of course I could be reading into things that are not there. ^^ The story will no doubt dispel, confirm or correct any of these perceptions, hopefully....

Certainly seems like Yaya is going to have a tough time with everything she's got on her plate there. Will have to balance the band, the yosakoi, school work, and helping out at her family's place. Can certainly see why she tried to just slip in with the name-only argument. But between the combination of Naru and Tami....good luck backing out now .
The web of relationships within that group really get more complicated as we go . Going from just looking like a single harem to a very interconnected group. Which is good in my book since surrounding everything just around Naru or Hana wouldn't make it as interesting. Should be fun seeing how they rope the next girl into this. Although maybe will just come from a combination of Tami and another Naru speech.

This episode is full of flowers. Literally its full of lilies, roses and cherry blossoms in full bloom.
Nice character development. The understanding of Naru, Tami-neesans wishing to make friends. Hana's wish to make everyone happy and even Yaya's who's been all been roped into the club. lol, I feel Yaya is the wife that has been duped into loveless marriage or rather full of flowers and troubles. She just gave up in the end with the "yey" She just can't say no to Naru. lol too for the teacher and aniki. Aniki is really aniki. He even helped middle school girls before Naru and the others to learn and perform Yosakoi. The Yosakoi in this episode is short but good. Overall. its nice fluff and puff with lots of flowers in it and it still retains the story. its not just moeness without story. It has solid character developments in it.
