Well, they say nice guy finish last, but when there's "no more Mr. nice guy" a.k.a "You think I can eat your shit forever?", heads roll and Mr. Nice guy get the girl. (This happens to me once in High School)

Yep, that's about right.

In Case of Jammer Knife, the knife didn't stab outright, but a cloth that thin can only held object outside than absorb the full force safely. So, a bullet can't penetrate them, but the flesh behind it likely bruised like hell, and knife can do the job as blunt instrument (because they have small contact surface, mean high pressure at certain point if Irish do it right).

That's why I propose additional helmet and armor, but then again the enemy dressed like an I.S. pilot...

No single event will, do, a series of event, unrelated or not will.

Side note - I mean about drilled in the face and covered in three layers of acid.
