Hmm? I'm still positive Master will win. Latest chapter even pushes even further towards it.

People just don't get it.
In present day romantic shounen stories, the girls feelings don't matter at all.
You can have 100 girls love the MC, doesn't matter at all.
What decides the ending is the MC's feeling, which girl will he choose, that's it.

Right now, Masamune is trying hard to love Aki, in several years he might succeed, but this is not going that way
Right now he loves Master but trying to bury that feeling
Master is doing the same

Aki chose to be the larger person and let them be together
Ending

Both have MCs who love a girl, but the entire manga is about how their feeling change towards another girl whom they interact more honestly with.
In the end, MC's feeling is the deciding factor.
