Spoiler for quick summary of On Her Majesty's Space Pirate:

Gonzaemon had a rendezvous with Her Majesty Queen Utolamela Christie, Queen of the Galactic Empire.
She insisted Gonzaemon to call her by her name Lamela, and he had to abide.
Gonza asked how she was doing, and she replied he should have kidnapped her in the past.

The place was inside a yet to be christened ship at one of the dock at in Port Seluna.
When Lamela tour-guided Tora, I mean Gonzaemon into the ship, he was bemused at a large stage at the bridge.
"You're going to have a concert during a battle?"

To the main point. Lamela was giving the ship to Gonza. When he asked why, she replied, "There's
only one thing you want when you give a ship to a pirate captain. For him to be a pirate".
She added that the Royal Family was thinking of doing piracy.
Gonza replied that the Royalty dreamed about Pirates too much. He asked if she's going to
board one and command it into a battle.
Lamela knew that she had no talent in such thing. She explained that the Royalty would like
to issue Letter of Marque for Pirates for the Empire.

The father to Asako, I mean Marika then asked why would the Royalty do that, after all those works
by the Empire to exterminate the Pirates. Lamela assured that the Fleet HQ had already
give the connivance.
But still, why?
Lamela added that the Royal Family can only move the First Fleet. Not to mention they have
to go through a tedious process to do that. In this universe, there are many things to be carried out in
secret, and Gonza should know that.
But still, why?
The Queen with the golden eyes appended that there are matters that the Royal Family and the Empire
are better not to be in front of things.
Gonza said the Royalty just wanted their own fleet that they can move at a whim when the Imperial
Fleet would not agree. He suspected that Lamela is going to revolutionize the Royalty.
"As if", she answered. She mentioned that she was satisfied with the way the Royalty was, but
the universe is vast, and one cannot be complacent. It was not for the Royalty and Empire's authority,
nor convenience, but for them to command a force for their own conviction and decision.

Lamela then requested Gonza to help take care of her daughter. Gonza knew the daughter when she was
a baby. The Queen mentioned that her daughter was the same age as Gonza's.

The Royalty has a tradition, where its member will go on a Grand Tour across the universe.
Lamela first met with the Captain during her Grand Tour. She said her daughter was more ignorant, more
cheeky that the Queen was during her tour. Gonza couldn't even imagine.
The Queen's daughter was caught with what was trending at that moment - pirate hunting.
Lamela thought where did she go wrong with educating her child.
Gonza consoled her saying that the daughter's sense of justice and pride were proofs that
the Queen had raised her daughter correctly. He asked her if she wanted her daughter inside
the yet-to-be named ship.
She said it would be the safest, but it would be bad for a royalty to be beside a real Pirate.
Her daughter was to use a new Mobile Battleship that required an extremely few hands to operate it.
The daughter already started her training to use the ship.
Gonza added that he needed to be careful not to be exterminated by the daughter.
To start of, they needed to name the ship that soon-to-be Ironbeard would use.
Lamela proclaimed proudly, "The vast pirate ship that crosses the vast universe, Parabellum"
Gonza looked around the bridge, and looked back at the Queen.
"The vast pirate ship that crosses the vast universe, Parabellum"
Gonza gave up, saying the Queen had a terrible naming sense.

Gonza "died "a few days later due to food poisoning

The Queen wanted to reset Gonza's career by having him returning the Bentenmaru's LoM and giving him The Royal LoM.

Gonza has a habit of involving with Royalty, huh? In return Marika is going to have waifus from them

Trouble brewing within the Empire/Imperial fleet? Why would the Queen named the ship To Prepare for War in Latin?
S2 when? Vol 13 when?

Well, this is all very interesting. So, at least the current imperial pirates are a fairly recent development. The Grand Tour seems to link into the explorer/pioneer business.

Couple of minor questions - does the bit in Sailing 25 from Eight regarding imperial pirates still hold, and might it have been misinterpreted?

On other news, I hope Sensei's works will be said by Lady Bernard.

Long time no post. MiniPi is celebrating its 10th Anniversary with new publications by Kadokawa. Vol 1 and 2 on sale December 25th, with 2 volumes per month.
Sasamoto-sensei said no rewrites or extra in the new publications, but new volumes are coming.
Director Satou said to look forward to new announcements.

I got the volume on the release date from Book Walker, but I am going to reread it when I get the physical copy, hopefully tomorrow.
I hope I can write something this weekend or the next. Need to play that FFVIII Remastered
