Jared Padalecki to Dub Entire Supernatural Anime Season

Jared will dub the entire season while Jensen will only dub the 2 last episodes of the 1st season.

Probably scheduling conflicts. But I checked in IMDB and he doesn't have any upcoming projects. Unless that changes.

He's probably busy doing voice acting for the PSP game The 3rd Birthday as Kyle Madigan.

It will be out this February 23. But I don't know how they are going to release it.

Episode 1 was pretty chilling...I thought the opening murder scene was quite thrashing^^...The english VA's were great and Dean and Sam really played the parts to form (Had to get used to Dean's VA since it's not Eackles though no gripes), also the acid-colored animated visualization for the shape-shifter is something the TV show never could have pulled off in a million years...

So far so good...The spirit of the TV show is quite evident, although one has to wonder if they were gonna play the "wayward son" song at the end they'd just use the english version instead of what seems to be a 2 drink minimum Kyoto Karaoke bar version^^...

Just watched the first ep. Nice to see an anime version take of a Shapeshifter. however this seems to be a remake of the ealier Season 1 episode "Skin". Was hoping for more newer material, which has been confirmed, but they'll be more remakes along the way so...

Other then that, its actually pretty faithful, even though its still weird hearing Sam and Dean in japanese. Characterization is right, but its just a bit weird hearing japanese jargon compared to the american jargon filled with both campy comedy and drama. Still looking forward to more.

I've watched episode 1 and it is definitely very nice. But I don't think it's new viewers friendly at all as we are thrown into a monster-hunting episode without even a slight introduction to who the Winchesters are. Still, the episode is well made and it felt different to see the characters animated and speak in japanese.

Now I am catching up on the tv series, just finished season 2!

Spoiler for ep.1: I'll only comment on ep1 because it's the only one I got in jap dubs, eng ones just don't feel right even though it should, considering the VAs. Classic monster of the week, the show starts out with a shapeshifter! It was a good start, although, knowing the series, it was no more than a pleasant 20m spent, at least for me. I don't think anyone new to the show would start from the anime, since the story is all over the place, but it's a good chance to display some cool fight scenes and probably a bit more violence than the LA version. About 7.5/10
