. . . Then again, they're not real, so I probably don't need to feel so guilty . . .

And I went completely ignored... "Tu" is a perfectly acceptable rendering of つ/ツ.

As someone who thinks that Haruhi's tsundere aspects are often greatly exaggerated by parts of the Haruhi fandom, I get a bit of a chuckle out of "tsundere" not being spelled in typical form here.
Maybe Haruhi isn't all that tsundere after all... Anyway, I have some pics that I recently found on DeviantArt that folks might like... Spoiler for Aaawwww... cute night-time dresses for Haruhi, Mikuru, and Yuki. ^_^:
The top half of this second one has been seen a lot here on this thread, but not the bottom half as far as I can tell. So... here's the full version, aparently... Spoiler for Long and lovely Haruhi yellow dress pic:
The SOS Brigade girls in video game roles... Spoiler for The Gaming of Haruhi Suzumiya:
Oooooo... Light Yagami might be in for some trouble if this pic is any indication! Spoiler for L's Secret Weapon!:
Nagato taking aim... Spoiler for Nagato likes that gun!:
Nagato resting after her sniping job... Spoiler for Cute Nagato pic:
Hope my fellow Haruhi fans like these pics!

Got it. Death Note characters seem to be attracted to girls that sound like Aya Hirano. Love this one.

As impressive as Haruhi's bust is in that pic... and as sexy as that pic is in general... I'm actually more interested in those 16 screenshots in the corner of the same picture collage, because at least two or three of them I don't recall seeing before (whereas this Haruhi in wet T-shirt pic is a repost, I think).
Does anybody know where larger versions of those 16 screenshots can be found? She's happy for a change! It's nice to see! Her as Lara Croft is hilariously ironic, too. Glad you liked those three pics.

Technically, tsundere wouldn't sound any cooler than tundere, because you'd pronounce them the same way.
As someone mentioned earlier, there are a few different systems for romanization, of which the main competitor to most of what you've seen (Hepburn) is Kunrei-shiki which, among other things, spells the character つ as tu instead of tsu. You'd still pronounce it the same way. This romanization style is more prominent in native Japanese speakers rather than native English speakers. It has the advantage of making regular conjugations appear regular instead of irregular. Most of the syllabary follows the pattern Ka Ki Ku Ke Ko. Therefore, with this kind of system, it keeps that pattern (for the sake of verb conjugation among other things) as Ta Ti Tu Te To, instead of the Hepburn version, Ta Chi Tsu Te To) So, from a linguistic standpoint, it's fitting. However, for a regular English speaker, it is misleading for pronunciation. A person who doesn't know Japanese would be more likely to correctly pronounce words spelled in Hepburn (Tsundere) as opposed to a word spelled in Kunrei-shiki (Tundere).
