I looked at it and... it seems unrealiable. If it does start with "Sie sind das Essen und wir sind die Jäger" or something similar to "They are the food(/prey) and we are the hunters", then it is OK, anything else is no good.
Also when I was reading "Fire, Water, Bow and Arrow" I had to facepalm... someone actually mistranslated/misheard "Feuerroter Pfeil und Bogen", which SHOULD have been translated as "Crimson Bow and Arrow" (literally Crimson Arrow and Bow). The best: "Feuerroter Pfeil und Bogen" is the TITLE of the song translated into German how could they have made a mistake with that?

I don't know any German at all, but from the scans from the single, the line appears to be "Seid ihr das Essen? Nein, wir sind der Jäger!" or something similar:
(Sorry for the LQ image) But for the second line, you're probably right ^^"

Seriously?! The singer in the middle of the song was singing his German part flawlessly... why didn't they ask him to proofread the lyrics?
Can you tell me if there are any more German lines on the scans? Is the scan confirmed to be true? I mean... it wasn't released yet

The single was leaked a couple days ago ^^" Anyways, here are the booklet scans for Guren no Yumiya/Jiyuu no Tsubasa. Unfortunately, it seems like most of the German isn't written down in the lyrics booklet

Now I feel conflicted... some of these things are so "Gerpanease" that it almost doesn't make sense... but for the sake of orginality I will keep it like that.
Luckily I already "deciphered" the German choir parts for the TV-size version, so I think I can complete the lyrics soon. "rinkafushi" seems to at least have translated the middle part of guren no yumiya right (I will still take my own translation for that part), so maybe I'll use marchen-v-friedhof's translation for the Japanease part after all... I'll also update my ət'æk 0N tάɪtn lyrics soon.

Goodness, the quality of this opening is shit. I was highly anticipating this release, especially given how they took an extra 2 months to release it over other anime opening singles..
They really dropped the ball, though. 1. What's with all of the random trash noise in the background? Is it really necessary? 2. The amount of peaking is absurd.. It's so bad that it's affecting the sound quality. Do they really expect people to buy this? ****, I would have been pissed if I imported this and heard this crap. |

I never really listened to many songs of Sound/Linked Horizon. The only one I really, really liked was Ishidatami no Akeki Akuma, but even I know that their songs are quite....special and I like that about them.
The full version of Guren no Yumiya is clearly not what I expected when I heard the tv size version. I still like the full version alot though. I think I mentioned it before but I prefer the second opening over the first. It just sounds better, at least for me. Nevertheless, first opening is still really great even though different from what I imagined. |
