I mean, they obviously couldn't match the awesomeness that was Sheryl, but they tried with Mikumo. It seems like at least with that one quieter singer, that they'll do some romance between pilot and singer. That already immediately raises death flags, along with the fact that the pilot seems to be the ace (Grim Reaper).

Yeah, that's not possible. The bar is set way too high now for any future idols to even challenge the top spot. They can shoot for 2nd place though.
Mikumo does channel a little Sheryl with her flare and confidence, but it's hard to compete with someone who shook the galaxy with just her voice.

As much as I may have commented a few pages back that these guys should give Alto a call if they want someone who can do showmanship in a valkyrie, it's probably best if the new cast is given a chance to stand on their own.

Well, Kawamori normally doesn't do cameos, but I can have the pipe dream that Sheryl and Alto will at least be referenced in Delta.

Plus Frontier is at the Core Region of the galaxy. Macross 7 Fleet is also there.

Ragna, Al Shahal and Windermere is at the Outer Rim. Zola is closer to them.

I think the best we can hope for in terms of a Sheryl and/or Ranka cameo is someone playing their songs, much like how Fire Bomber's only presence in Frontier was via Ozma Lee's playlist and insert songs.

Yeah I don't think we'll see cameos in this series, not from Frontier at least, maybe, just maybe someone from 7 (maybe lady M is Mylene or Miria?), that being said I hope to get some references like in Frontier where they referenced Zero with the whole movie they made, and 7 with music.

Ya know, considering traveling across the galaxy as of right now in the Macross-verse is a matter of hours, distance is hardly a problem. No good excuse for lack of cameos! Remember folks, 30 light years is considered nexy door, thats a distance of more than 15 solar systems.

Hell, the Zentradi themselves are effectively intergalactic.

I hope they're saving Minmei & co for the alternate universe story where they likely ended up.

True. I always hoped that at some point some Macross series or movies would told the story of Megaroad-01 or the aftermath. Guess it wont happen.

Check at the left the girl with the fin ears. Could be female of Chuck's race. If she's a tourist her home planet must be nearby.
I wouldn't cut out the possibility Chuck's race is a native of Ragna.

We didn't think Freya was the same race as the Aerial Knights till her heart thingy glowed and moved.

So we are seeing physiological differences between male and female of the two new races. We sort of saw that too with the Zolans, Zolan males having hairy arms while females don't. Both having the two tone hair on their heads.

It's only a matter of hours if the distance is like several hundred light years away. This doesn't count fold lags unless they use fold crystals which are quite a precious resource. Also the colonies in Delta are set at the galaxy's rim which is roughly 50k light years away from the center where Frontier is near. Its simply just too far for any of the characters in Frontier to travel and it makes little point for them to go there.
