Spoiler for Episode 5:

The new episode is intensified by a good amount of great animated fights and boosts a lot of tension, strength and climatic moments. Kiba demonstrates his summoning of swordmanship together with Xenovia, the fanservice isn't as much prevalent as the others but it's still here, the seriousness never fails to blends well with the rest. Looking at how the ghostly effects surrounding around Kiba was impressive and gives a bit of deep thoughts, the way Issei holds hands with Rias can symbolise the sign of her as the main love interest so Issei can always keep his harem happy in check. Next episode is the finale of Excalibur arc, so be prepared for more awesomeness of the action and story climax!

Spoiler for episode 5:

They did magnificent with this episode Kiba's Balance Breaker the Cerberus are also well done. Even xenovia's durandal was done very well. a bit disappointed that one thing wasn't revealed but next episode is going to be unreal. And assuming it happens as most predict even backbone our biggest complainer wont be able to complain about this one

nice ep, but i really wished they stopped using that 80s anime music, makes everything lame...

apart from that good episode 7/10, saving my 10/10 for next ep ^^ dont let me down

It's not glamorous but someone's gotta keep the surrounding area from getting nuked. I don't think this was an AT-X broadcast, but it's not like we really lost anything, this was an action episode from almost start to finish.

Wigwams its censored because unfortunately funimation picked it up and funimation is never good for an anime like this

Great episode, I'm glad to see again a more serious Issei, if only he could be like this most of the time.

Are you referring to the opening theme song? I also got a feeling that I know that song from somewhere else, but I can't really put my finger on it. Hmm...

so time & options are few so battle is on yet rias's crew had battle the hound of hades cerberus then xeno & kiba arrive also help in give all have doing issei's power boost both rias & akeno sure beat the dog but not yet.

cause excalibur sword is done with freed to used it then kiba go after valper til big light spear but ok then valper going like kiba's pals were just tools & pieces to take their genes blah to find right item for sword & give to freed even toss a crystal of their remain to kiba.

then kiba hold it & have feel, remembers, & realize to do from his pals's crystal spirit all re-focus make sword of holy & devil powers with make sure tell xeno were in same page with xeno summon durandel to beat up freed & sword.

& oh valper got blasted by kokabiel for being a toll then go like bring your best to challenge me with rias & issei go walk in to battle.

Well, this episode contained more action then fanservice, but that's pretty understandable, considering the situation.

I liked how everything proceeded, the only issue that I had, is that it felt a little too short.

Can't wait to see, how the conclusion to this fight is going to be executed...

6 episodes for an arc is already considerable, in LN-to-anime terms.

I do find it a little off that Kiba didn't go dere dere enough to complete the flag.

We'll have to also see how next episode works out because that's actually the part LN glosses over, with Xenova's Durandal barely getting any screen time (though she is suppose to do a lot more).

They wanted a dramatic finish I guess. And the epilogue part is important so I guess the 2nd half of episode6 will be fully dedicated to that.

It was pretty good...better then the LN in some areas, less in others. LN goes into monologue, while the anime tries to do it with fancy screenplay.

and of course 20% of all screen time must be about boobs!

I think we can all agree funimation shouldn't have picked it up because they always censor the good stuff. Next episode will be incredible and this is really the action portion of the LN most of you will really enjoy the next few episodes if they are as predicted

Finally caught up.

Very nice setup for a boss battle. The only thing that annoyed me a bit is the 10 second BOOST! Which is actually funny when I rewatched it.

8 out of 10 : Very Good
