As far as anime I've watched in the last 365,
I'd give my vote to Deathnote, Ergo Proxy, Xxxholic, Black Cat, and Air Gear (xxxholic is a rare OP that makes me actually sit-dance and move my arms groovy style EVERYTIME^^)...I'm so glad I always watch my anime with the boosted headphones which really puts me inside the rhythm...

Cowboy Bebop, GITSSAC 1 and 2, (SoYokolicious) Hellsing, Cromartie High, and Pretty much all Gundam SEED DESTINY (Just talking about the music though) are amoungst some of my all time favs...and please don't sleep on Eureka SEVEN --the last arc END song is to die for!! (Great OPs//EDs all series though)..

P.S. spoiler tabbing those YouTube Squares makes for better page viewing ...

It was all over the place! Brings back great memories, and most definitly one of my favorite OPs of all time.
very biased 10/10 simply because of nostalgia.

The second song was a major hit too!
I love both of these Yoshimi Iwasaki songs.

yes OP 2 and OP 3 was also nice.

iam not sure if anyone has noticed but, during the baseball scene of TMoS, they played one of the touch theme songs without the vocal. i thought that was pretty neat :P

Welcome to the NHK ED - 6/10 - I started watching this show, pretty interesting. the ending song starts off sounding good then it turns completely opposite of what you think and i skip it since I don't like how it sounds and then the last part with gyaaaaaaa always makes me laugh, scary face + gyaaa is just so...

Honey Clover OP 7/10 - the singer/song is sorta bleh but I love the food animation thign that go with the song it's so "unique", the last part is surprising.

Jungle wa itsumo hale nochi guu OPENING (Hare + Guu)

Dude I get to freaking spam openings. Don't say you didn't ask for it.

Opening 2 SPT Layzner - Melos No Youni Lonely Way
Spoiler:

Opening 2 Dragonar - Starlight Serenade
Spoiler:

Opening Genesis Climber Mospeada - Ushinawareta Yume o Motomete
Spoiler:

Opening 2 Tekkaman Blade - Eternal Loneliness
Spoiler:

Opening Orguss - Drifting ~ Sky Hurricane
Spoiler:

Is everybody sure this is permissable? Does anybody like 80's? Well Shaolinx has posted what seem to be the only standout aspects of Air and Final Approach, Touch however is classic. Gotta say I was expecting Generic Harem far for the first two and got early 90's funk for Final Approach and something pleasant from Air. Of course the NHK ending posted Meron happens to be the weaker one. Here's a link to the good one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NqUZ65GQcY4 . The Ergo Proxy one is a spectacular find though, glad to see people can still recognize good music in these days. What else do we have here Murder Princess reminds me of Guilty Gear music and that's a good thing. Think I need to find that Bleach opening, the Rozen Maiden ending is slow music done right, but I can't here any sound on the Death Note one. Overall nothing on this page objectionable except for the one NHK ending.

[ youtube ] "blah blah" where "blah blah" is the video signature from youtube. For example, this video http://youtube.com/watch?v=-fVDGu82FeQ would be [ youtube ]fVDGu82FeQ (without the spaces at the beginning).

EDIT: Nevermind, obviously you figured it out.

EDIT 2: Also a reminder, if people are going to post a lot of videos it helps to put them in spoiler tags. It doesn't keep them from loading (though it does if you have Opera), but it keeps the page easier to read.

EDIT 3: Also, you should identify the series you're posting for. Sometimes I've watched a series just based off of seeing the opening in this thread.

Okay, but if nobody watches them because they were in spoiler tags than I'll be quite depressed. Don't know how people are going to react to 80's opening themes, but it should be quite interesting to see what happens.

Hmm maybe 80s anime is too old for me
The only one I liked was SPT Layzner OP2 - Melos No Youni Lonely Way cept the talking in the middle ruined it for me (or maybe it surprised me because I was sleepy)

...
and onto the new stuff
Has anyone seen any good ones from the new shows in April?
My favorites so far are:

Romeo x Juliet OP

El Cazador de la Bruja OP - I watched a hires version of this first and the singer sounds bad on youtube.

Melodymix - Yup, Rozen Maiden Rozen Maiden: Traumend ED, "光の螺旋律 (Hikari no Rasenritsu; Spiralling Melody of Light)" by Kukui, is my single favorite ending from that series. 10/10.

These ratings are based on the abysmal quality of YouTube, and might go up when I see a 'real' version

Romeo and Juiliet OP: C++, decent, but a tad melodramatic

El Cazador de la Bruja OP: C, too bad... I usually love Savage Genius

tokyo majin gakuen kenpuchou OP1 and ED1: D+, I don't quite want to slap the singer, but I wouldn't mind if someone else did it.

Kyoshiro to Towa no Sora OP: B, really nice visuals, and I've liked Coorie ever since Midori no Hibi

NHK ED2: B, I hate the surrealism, but the song is very nice.

Tekkaman Blade OP2: C-, maybe you had to have seen the original...

Dragonar OP2: C++, Nice, in a retro way

Murder Princess OP: B-, really nice choreography. Take out the hideously ugly pseudo-rap and I'd give it a B+.

Traumend ED: B+; I always watched it during the series. Much better than the OP, IMO.

Fate/Stay OP2: B+; much better than the first one. I love the end frame where she's got the cute little crown

Basilisk OP: C, I found it 'meh'. I LOVE the ED, though (Nana Mizuki!)

Sister Princess OP: B-. The image albums have some great stuff, too. But please don't be tricked into watching that godawful series!

R.O.D. OP: D, reminds me of James Bond OPs, which I never like. The actual R.O.D. series is great though.

Shounen Onmyouji OP: C++; Pretty good, though I like the ED a little more.

Last Exile: A+, one of the best and most unusual OPs ever.

Muteki Kanban Musume OP: B, Masumi Okui rocks as always.

Burst Angel OP: F, the kind of music I hate the most.

PreCure OP: C++, Cute. Could have fewer shots of random people walking around.

PreCure 5 OP: C, not as good as the original, and plagued by screaming in the background like many PreCure songs.

Karin OP: B, ecchi but always fun to watch! Nice instrumentals too.

Death Note OP2: Barf. Normally I rate with letters, but this time the rating is just the word "Barf". However, it is pretty funny watching Ryuk chase the apple

Ergo Proxy OP: C+, I like it, but there are too many flickering words and images which I find irritating to my eyes.

This is my top 5 anime OP's, they aren't my fave series, but the OP's are class.

Trigun OP - H.T.

Green Green OP - Guri Guri

Shadow Skill OP - Born Legend - Kasumi

Shuffle! OP - You

Tenjou Tenge OP - Bomb A Head

-The Trigun OP is just awesome with it's guitar and gunshots.

-The Green Green OP always brings a smile to my face and its such a happy song.

-Shadow Skill is probably the most unique song I've heard its like bagpipes and drums but sounds great amazingly.

-Everyone loves the Shuffle OP. Nuff' Said.

-The Tenjou Tenge OP is so cute, with the main characters dancing!
