This episode was good since it actually showcase Gohan's power, but sadly U3 does more fusion schticks anyway, which is delaying the inevitable showdown between U7 and U11. Dr. Paparoni lol. He's just like the stereotypical mad scientist.

Very bad episode like the last one. No one cares about opponents who weren't build up properly.
At least Gohan is as weak as he should be without all the training during these years. Gonna skip next episode as the preview showed that all we get will be the same, but transformed opponent. Last edited by Hoodspirit; 2017-12-17 at 09:29. |

I was glad they brought up the fact the cyborgs have limitless energy and don't have to worry about stamina. It's a big advantage in this tournament.
It looks like the 4-way fusion of U3 will be actually threatening, since it will force even Frieza to work with the others. He thought he could take it easy until the end, too bad!

I actually liked the recent episodes, barring the annoying "Love" fighters from the 2nd universe. I think one reason I like it is because Gohan's been a badass in the tournament. It seems like he's back to his strong self. Hopefully he'll actually train from now on and get even stronger rather than only studying or working. If possible, he should find time to both train and work, rather than only working.
I liked that Goku said to Ribirianne that he might wish for something for Gohan and Chichi, but I think he should use the Super Dragonballs to wish all of the erased universes to come back instead and just use Earth's Dragonballs to get something for Gohan and Chichi (and Goten). It'd be a waste if the Saiyans from the 6th universe stayed dead, and Goku would also want to bring them all back so he can fight them again at some point. Universe 11's Jiren and Toppo would also be good potential opponents to keep around. That and I think Goku should try to train Caulifla and maybe also Kale. The potential he saw in the former shouldn't be allowed to go to waste, after all. It would also give him some experience in training someone so that he'd do a good job at training Uub when the times comes. About that new upcoming movie that will talk about the origins of Saiyans. Hopefully it'll also touch on the S-cells that Toriyama and the rest of the staff mentioned in a recent interview as the type of cells Saiyans need a high amount of in order to be able to become Super Saiyan. If the movie is really canon, which it seems like it is since Toriyama is writing it, then I'm looking forward to it. Maybe it'll also mention the first Super Saiyan. I wonder if Goku and Vegeta will find out about him (and also the S-cells). @Kanon: Agreed about the plot point of 17 and 18 having infinite energy actually being used. It's good that they used it like that.

I doubt these elements have anything to do with GT. They're just parodies of Magical Girl anime and Super Robot series. Just like the Pride Troopers are a parody of Super Sentai (which the Ginyu force already was).

^Yeah. I don't think Super is taking or will take anything from GT. GT isn't canon and should stay that way. Although I did like Super Saiyan 4 and would've liked it to be canon. Ah, well.
I'm really hoping that Goku can master Ultra Instinct before his rematch against Jiren. And it'd be good if he can use it together with Super Saiyan Blue plus Kaioken. Although it'd probably hurt him more than the aura in Ultra Instinct already does, which would be bad. I wonder if he can get around that through training. Speaking of training. I'm still not completely content with Goku and Vegeta not being able to combine the God ki in Super Saiyan God with Super Saiyan 2 and/or 3 to get something like Super Saiyan Blue 2 and/or 3. I'm really hoping it's more that they still haven't tried it, rather than it definitely not being possible. Maybe if they trained for it hard enough, they'll be able to do it? And Goku should also try to get around the stamina consumption problem of Super Saiyan 3 while he's at it. Anyway, before that, they have to get rid of those fighters from the 3rd universe and then go for the 11th universe. And they need to do it fast since there's not much time left. Goku has to master Ultra Instinct in about 10 or so minutes if he is to use it against Jiren.

...Or it's just called that way because they came up with several designs before settling on the current one.

I like the Black hair, with silver eye. But well if they want to change hair colour i think white is better than silver
I think he will unlock "offensive" part of the UI at the start of the rematch while mastering it along the fight

You subconciously want the hero you are relating to to look like your race. To an Asian, Son Goku has ALWAYS looked like an Asian Man. Even his very NAME is the Japanese Pronunciation of the Chinese Lead Hero from "Journey To The West", better known as "Monkey Magic" in to western audiences. Nothing wrong with relating with heroes who don't look like you; We Asians have been EXPECTED to do so without complaint since David Carridine stole the role that rightfully belonged to Bruce Lee in Kung Fu since the 1960's. How ironic that the once conservative Disney of all companies is now LEADING the charge for positive protrayals of Asian Heroes, with the Star Wars brand of all brands. I NEVER thought I'd live to see My Nephews and Nieces be able to grow up with heroes that they DON'T need to pretend to be White to look up to and relate to. Hail Chirruit Imwe and Rose Forever!

WHAT. THE. HELL. did I just read? Are you seriously pulling that crap on me?
Never have I intended to see certain characters other than what they are supposed to look like. And, for your information, those hollywood whitewashings and whatnot also faze me a little. Also, I may have, when I was a child, seen Goku as a sort of hero to me, but nowadays I see no character as a hero to me. Like, at all. In the Saiyans' case, I never had any indication from the source material, or the author himself, that they couldn't be caucasians, since you have a wide world of ethnicies presented in overall DB. Maybe I can admit that the fact they have predominantly black hair may be a sign of asian-like appearance, but it may also have been the author preferring that way, since it'd be easier to relate to the audience and (maybe) easier to draw. |
