It was the Kill la Kill game, the announcement after this episode.

And wow, didnt expect it to end this way, they really are trying to somehow to continue the series.

Also hope 002 isnt really dead, she deserves a better ending after everything but this is wishful thinking at this point right?

honestly i think is too early to call it a "end" specially the war, we still have 3 episodes and i really doubt they will expending 3 episodes in "recover" the VIRMs are pretty much to come for the final showdown in the last episode.

And since zero 2 "died now" i really doubt she is really dead now, with still 3 episodes to come, it really looks like they will have they happy ending.

when a main character die to "early like that is almost sure" he will come back later.

I don't think there will be a happy ending. VRIM will always come to attack them so they have to repopulate the planet and be on constant alert for an attack. They can only be safe and if the VIRM is eliminated (like in Gurren Lagann). So...they have to take the fight to space. I bet this will get a season 2.

Hoping that the wait is 65 million more years so the planet can be repopulated.

well if VIRMs are bring they "full force army" to the last battle them they don't need to worry go space, if they vanquish that full force, specially if the "tophead" of VIRMs conscious is destroyed too, this means which even if they had "survivors in the planet they live they will be just "weaklings and remains, which only gonna be a trouble 65 millions in future if they manage to "assimilate others races which will be hard to di if they lost they army

How to destroy energy though? For starters, there's so much reorganizing that needs to be done:

• Confirming casualties
• Gathering survivors
• Inform everone of the status quo
• Dealing with those unwilling to fall into the fold
• Slapping the 9's
• Consolidating forces
• Reorganizing the ragtag army
• Decide on effecient chain of command
• Find a way to deal with the technological gap

I'm sure I'm forgetting some here.

Watching this episode just left a sour aftertaste for me. The plot now just seems to be a mash-up of plot cliches as though the writing has been taken over by a committee of marketing and accounting folks. I fear that Trigger has become a victim of its past successes.

Also... At this point the magical space aliens have accomplished their primary objective why involve your main forces for the sake of a few weapons? What remains of the planet will not be a threat anytime soon if ever. Of course, the writing committee could decide to have Hime 02 and Hiro pierce the heavens... *sigh*

actually if you pay attention the princess "disappeared" or is no more, you have only hiro and zero two in the cabin, this means which the princess or just "disappeared or "merged with zero two(what remains of her).
