This adaptation really was aimed at fans of the manga who just wanted to see the Great Sennin War arc animated, even if that meant condensing or just plain skipping everything else.

I mean, after ignoring Raishinshi for the entire series, what was even the point of having him show up at the end (and voiced by Yusuke Kobayashi, no less)? Even more baffling was how they mixed the Great Sennin War's aftermath with the manga's very last chapter, barely summing up how Dakki merged with the Earth and not even showing how Taikoubou defeated Joka.

And most frustrating of all: this episode looked great, like pretty much the entire series. It's almost unfair how an ill-conceived adaptation like this had such high production values while well-written shows like Golden Kamuy and Full Metal Panic IV are plagued by inconsistent animation that looks embarassingly bad at times.
