I'd still have preferred a 1-ep-each-week continuation. This show is for slow digestion, not for wolfing it down in one piece.

Given how long we've waited for this, I'm actually kind of glad that both episodes will air the same day.

At this point, I want to see Episodes 11 and 12 in large part for simple closure. After having over a month to speculate on how the anime may end, I want to see how it does end.

Anyway, this is obviously great news! We finally have a specific date and time. One week from this Thursday. I'm very much looking forward to it.

Edit: My guess is that one of the guys from the Morning Rescue team made a wish with Kyubey in order to make this happen. Kyubey wasn't sure if it would be wise to contract with an older, perpetually happy male rescue worker, but Kyubey eventually agreed to the deal. Thank you, Morning Rescue. Your sacrifice will not be in vain.

I'm really happy to hear the news, that's all I can say.

This is a really nice surprise, I was ready to wait till August. But they fulfilled the promise to air it mid April in the end.

Truly fantastic.

The airing date seems symbolic as it will be aired on the early morning of Good Friday, 22nd of April.

I just finished 1-10 this week and wow this anime is pretty good. What I'm curious as to what wish Madoka wanted when she became a mashou shoujo in the other timelines

Great news that they'll just air them together. I don't get why people want them to air apart... Slow digestion is kind of a silly excuse because there are several movies out there with more symbolism and scenes to analyze than Madoka...

But w/e.

Want to finish this anime before I fall out of interest.

Slow digestion doesn't work. The weekly waits were maddening.

Madoka is going to be beastly to marathon for both first-timers and rewatchers.

Now that we have a definitive date, time to rewatch up to episode 10 in preparation.

Notice that nobody's exactly opting for week-by-week broadcast starting on April 21, we all would very much prefer it to start this Thursday/Friday (so much the more that the aforeposted tweet pic hints at MBS' initial plans to do so). I don't know if MAdoka gets the same level of popularity, but if it does, it will be for the same reasons.

As to the depth, it would be wrong to claim that Madoka is a deep philosophical work to digest. On the other hand, many anime classics (GitS, Evangelion, Death Note) were deemed deep to the point of becoming something of a cult, while in fact they were just quality writing as opposed to the more shallow and/or easygoing nature of the majority of anime plots around. Madoka might be a similar case.
