I question the choices they keep deciding on where/when to start/stop each episode.
It just feels so awkward.

Kind of lame that they had Tatsuya do his regrowth on these guys OFF-SCREEN.
Come on, show us some stuff. He just points to them, and a glow from offscreen, and they sit back up. It doesn't really bring an image of what's actually happening, and its a total budget move rather than a move made to portray what's happening.

The other 10-15 characters had their 2-3 seconds of spotlight to do their own killing moves.

Gawd.

So based on the LN, Miyuki is getting hopping mad over seeing her friends mutilated, jumping out of a helicopter while blanketing a major area full of fighting with Cocytus, sparing the friendlies.

What does the anime show?

Miyuki descending with floating skirt, while a small group of 4 enemies are watching her descent dumbly with open mouths, weapons leveled at her. Then she raises her hand (obviously targeting them) - still no reaction from them. And then a whiteout effect which doesn't look much different from her Niflheim antics, and the 4 idiots look frozen - yet not shock-frosted.

Okay Madhouse. What gives? What goddamn retard scripted this scene? How can you cock up so much to animate a scene, fail to explain or at least _indicate_ several important pieces of information, and make this fairly special scene look utterly ridiculous?

Seriously now - is this children's matinee? Did the pizza delivery guy get to do this board? I find it hard to believe that professionals can mess up so bad.

meanwhile, IRONMAN in action (the costume is similar to Spiderman though)
it also pretty funny to see how Tatsuya's ability got revealed one by one... looks like Miyuki's request is something onii-sama can't turn down

We got scenes about how Leo is trained by Erika.. but we didn't get chance to see his new technique.. he is basically just swinging his sword
and Erika's Orochimaru need more spotlight as well

Since most of them retreated, let's assume the finale would consist only Tatsuya, Juumonji, and Ichijo

The blade of the sword is the technic...at the beginning it didn't had a blade, or well an actual blade, but when he used his fortification magic, the almost invisible membrane took form of a blade that could easily break any armor

i find it hard to believe that madhouse messed up on just pure straight action. never mind the setting, plot, or characters. one job and they failed.

The action was way too quick. Nothing showing the tension or seriousness of the situation... It's like they appear and then just go away,

Reading these scenes, I admit I felt the author was way too verbose. But the adaptation appears to have gone overboard in response, and things have become waaaaay too compressed.

WTH I waited 25 eps for this scenes to be animated and this is what they had come up with???!!They could have made 2 ol eps so that they didn't rush it,but no.Sad part is the BD's/DVD's sold well and Dengeki execs will be telling MH goodjob!!.Thrashin mad!!!

For season 2 they better change studios.2nd bad LN adaption MH did.

Like you, I'm pissed off at what they did to this episode. That said, is it likely there will be a season 2? I don't know much of anything about anime, let alone what is likely to get a second season. I thought it was only doing below expected in the ratings and sales?

High chance,the BD's/DVD's are selling well (not SAO numbers but good enough) and
ln vol 14 seemed to get a significant boost for it's 1st week as well as the manga's.Unless they were expecting SAO numbers and anything lower than that is deemed a failure.

This episode was cake without any cream or sugar in it. Oh gosh.

At this rate they might just end the adaptation without even explaining Tatsuya's magic at all. orz
