My guess is Rosa with help of people that are hidden (like Yamainu), but I guess something goes wrong in the process and Rosa is targeted as well. I do not discard the possibility of each sibling having his own 'yamainu' team.

Because Battler was unable to explain the secret rooms. As result, only one or several persons among the survivors who had the key could do the murders. As result, Battler is forced to resign and surrender before Beatrice, so that he wouldn't be forced to doubt any of his family or the servants.

If we consider one of the "dead" being behind the scenes, we can already remove the first 6 killed... there is no way for them to be mistakenly identified as dead.
Both Jessica and Kanon cannot do that, as jessica kept both her key and Kanon's master key, hence kanon doesn't have the mean to open the doors. As result, I can only think of either George or Gohda. (Shannon wound would be difficult to fake it). Even so, the 2 later are difficult to mimic.

First, it is red. Afterwards, it matches with Beatrice's Goat Soldier sword: blue/purple.

We don't have any proof if the servant key box was completely safe or not. Even if Beatrice claim there isn't any duplicate of the master key, there is no guarantee that the culprit(s) didn't get their claws on the original keys or even duplicated them. Beatrice mentioned the master key ONLY, as safe, but she never said that original/unique key of each room are safe.
If that rule isn't confirmed, we can therefore assume that any secret room could be done by anyone if they made duplicate or stole the stash of key without anyone knowing about them.

As for the shield squashing them to death
it says:
…かつて二人を守ってくれた円柱の壁は、悲鳴のような真っ赤な波紋の軌跡でいっぱいにしながら迫り、…むし ろ逆に二人を飲み込もうとしている。

It roughly says:
The cylindric wall that once protected them, gets narrower, full of red 'ripples', like screams, and now is about to swallow them, instead.

It's not explicitly said it squeezed them to death

And then, we do not see George and Shannon dying

Maybe Beatrice just destroyed the wall and them, ordered the stakes to do the job

Spoiler for only Q20, since the others have been answered by many people anyway...:

1st Closed Room ~Chapel 6~:
Battler has solved it so we don't need to go into this again.
2nd Closed Room ~Jessica + Kanon~:
3 theories:
1. Jessica key in room is fake. Beatrice left us a hint, as she refused to recite "The master key was used do the final lock". If the master key wasn't used, and there aren't any duplicated keys, that means Jessica's key was used. The culprit could easily just used Jessica's key to lock that room. That means, "Jessica's Key" that was inside the room is actually fake (and no one bother to check, since they all believed the servant's words)
2. Servant/Rosa cultprit theory. Only the servants knew about Jessica's habit of where she puts her keys. They can easily return it when they entered the room again. Rosa could've done it when she was ordering people to search around the room.
3. "Who said the room was locked?" theory. Red text only talked about what happens when the room is locked, or what can open the lock and what nots. However, it never said that it was locked. In other words, the one who "confirmed" that the door was locked, and used the master key to open it (Gohda) is suspicious.

So, what really happened? What about Kanon blade and ghost Jessica and Kanon?
First there are many possible culprit for this, except for the 4 person group (Battler George Maria Nanjo). Kannon could've been killed and thrown out the window, survived to be killed later, or Kanon himself can be a culprit. He killed Jessica, and only later to be killed by someone else in that room(confirmed by red text and TIPS). Kanon blade is most likely fake: if he did have that ability, why does he have to go get the cutters for Eva/Hideyoshi's room in ep1? With that in mind, ghost Jessica and Kanon is probably the same deal, just there for show.

3rd closed room ~Saba + Nanjo~:
First of all we have to deduce who is "purple Kannon". Maybe it's a twin of Kannon, but most likely "purple Kannon" never existed the first place. And that makes Shannon, Gohda and Genji suspicious. Other people who could've done it, with a resonable reason and lack of alibi, is Ginzo and George. As for the moving corpses, they can be easily moved by Shannon/Gohda/Genji before they went back to the dinning hall. Also, who said they were killed in that room anyway? (if we doubt the servants, and there are no red text stating that the two was killed in that room, unlike Jessica's room)

4th closed room ~George + Shannon + Gohda~:
First of all it can be easily said that, due to their position and location of death, that they killed each other (which strengthens the mutiple culprit theory). The red text also supports the theory no.1 for 2nd closed room, as this time it states that Natsuhi's key is in George's pocket (Beatrice never said Jessica's key was in the room.) From that, Rosa becomes the most supicious since she has all the keys, but the room could also be closed by Gohda when he was frantically trying to lock/unlock the room (as shown in the fantasy scenes).

5th closed room ~Beatrice's final letter~
Since there is not exact timing as to when the letter was placed, there are mutiple possibilities.

1. Before they left for the room: Rosa, being the last one to check the room, is most suspicious.
2. After they left the room and before they returned: Impossible for the four that were moving together.
3. After opening the door, but before Rosa checking the windows: Rosa, since she walked in first.
4. During window checking: Everyone besides Rosa is just as suspicious.


Afterthoughts: Although Beatrice's red text seems like a big hurdle when comes to trying to explain what happened in those closed room, she's far from being perfect when trying to prove the closness of the rooms. She also has a habit of mentioning/not mentiong something for some of the room, even tho she claims all the rooms are similar in setting to force Battler to surrunder. For example, she didn't say there's only five master keys until the 3rd room, which opens the possibility of 2nd room to have more master keys (duplicates) than it could, as long as they were disposed of before the 3rd closed room event. She claimed no one was hiding in the 2nd room, but she didn't repeat that for the 4th room (there are the "dead" people, and Ginzo himself is still kicking around without an alibi). I can't shake the feeling that ep2 seems more like a "A killed B after B killed C which happened after C killed D" kind of thing...

Also, Kanon is only a "furniture name"...just becuase Kanon is "dead" by red text, Beatrice could've meant that he "died as a furniture and lived on as a human"...

This was just posted on Ryuukishi's journal. Sounds like they're finally getting close to episode 3. He also said something like if ep 1 was mystery and ep 2 was fantasy, then episode 3 pits the two genres against each other.

In Higurashi, the 3rd episode gave you all of the information you needed to guess the culprit and even part of the end of Minagoroshi-hen, so maybe we'll start getting some real hints this time.

No I'm not, the mis-translation I was talking about was just some weird grammar problem
Hopefully they will fix it after the complete re-translation
