Saw the raw and not impressed. I don't know why they keep the studio from S2 to do this. They sucked.

I don't know. I laughed even with the raw. Not chuckled, laughed. It has been about a year since I laughed like that to a new anime.

Of course humor is subjective. But then again so is art.

Meh not gonna bother comparing it to S1, but seeing from the OP that Fuyuki seems to be staying gone (Thank the gods for that...) and we finally got the brothers back its hard to imagine this season not topping the last one...

Great first episode. It's the same crew as season 2, but they've made many improvements in small places that adds up. All that's missing now is some Makoto/Mako-chan action and Sleazy Hayami. I can't describe how happy I am that this show is back.

Yup. The characters might not look as shiny as they did in S2, but they just plain look ugly this time around.

The content and comedy continue to be good, as is the cast. But Minami-ke looked best under Doumu's touch.

Hopefully, like Xebec's Kyou No Go No Ni which suffered similar faults, the content can get me past the inferior animation that it doesn't matter in the end.

Still, they look really bad this time. Man, it is lamentable that Doumu isn't working on it.

In all fairness though, despite the annoying angular chins and freakish eyes, the overall feel is definitely more reminiscent of S1. So I'll be sticking with it and I expect it to be fun, as this first ep is proving to be.

The OP ED themes are back to being bright and fun, which is a great relief.

I laughed. It's going to be a good replacement for my missing comedy fix after the end of Detroit Metal City. I welcome this third season after a good opening episode. Speaking of opening, I did not expect the song to kick in so late.

Aka the best male character ever created has returned. Good to see you're back with the show Cal. We'll have good old Hosaka jokes ready.

My only problem with the show was how it basically didn't use most of the side characters, which seems to be different this time around because they appear in the OP (yay for Touma's brothers). Plus a new character.

First episode was decent. Hosaka's scene of course was the best part of the episode, so i'm happy with it. Didn't have any problems with artwork. Welcome back Minami-ke.

I think its a laymans version of Schrödinger's cat. You don't know if the cat is alive or not.
In other words you can't differentiate yakisoba or in Takeru's case tea.

Seems that they are dumbing down that paradox for the kiddies as there seems to be a censorship lately against dead kitties.

Takeru really needs to get married. Even if its Kumada sensei despite Kana.
It's starting to feel like Haruka is a housewife taking care of him.

After three seasons, Takeru finally feels like an actual character.

As for the animation, I was pretty disappointed. The first two seasons were way better.

Oh well, at least the OP and ED are nice.

Fantastic first episode. Thought the placement of the opening after the first segment was awkward, but I liked the new OP very much (yay for Touma brothers!!). The ED was nice as well. I also like how they toned down the gloss on the character designs compared to last season and came up with a style halfway to doumu's from the first season. I'll be looking forward to ep2! (Mako-chan where?)

Spoiler for ep 1: - Chiaki looks good with those buns. - Chiaki so casually dragging Fujioka in, and then proceed to sit on his lap. Aww - For a second I actually thought Kana was magically holding that orange in mid-air. - This OP song fits Minami-ke much better than Okawari's. - It looks like everyone's back, Mako-chan and the Minami bros. Yay for no Fuyuki! - I still don't quite understand Chiaki's "box yakisoba theory" thingy. hahah. - LOL at Kumada sensei... anyone goes apparently. - I like the ED song, and the animation. But it seems a bit out of place since we're in the middle of the winter here... - Haha the pen trick. - Hosaka getting 108 "really bad fortunes" in a row... he's never gonna get Haruka lol. He still got the shirt thing goin' on though. Fangirls will be happy.
