Not really. IIRC Hayate does have the habit of addressing people with -chan the moment she gets to know them, and Shamal is pretty much the same too.
Yeah, of course, but.... that wasn't the point. What I mean is that it's no like Nanoha to go around wondering why people call her that way when she herself has the same habit.

Voting A. Nothing like a stroll around town and see the sights.

And probably make a few other characters show up as well.

When she was 9 year old, yes. You'll notice that by the time of StrikerS, she no longer does this, and only calls those she already knows still with '-chan' Even Shari, whom she met shortly after the end of A's, is called Shari instead of Shari-chan. I left it in for Hayate as a bit of a character trait, while I'm not going to make her the 'sekuhara Hayate' she is often portrayed as in fanart, she is more easy going in that regard.

I don't think Shari is a good example. Shari is a nickname and she wants to be called that way. Carim or Schach was a better example.

Nickname or not, Nanoha still did not atach -chan to it, which was my point. Heck, even Vivio did not get a -chan suffix.

BTW the first thing I thought when I read "already calling me Nanoha-chan" that
Nanoha expect to be called Takamachi(-chan/-san) or Nanoha-san.
Calling someone first name without suffix the first time you meet is plain rude (in Japan, that is).

Keroko is bringing even more people out of the woodwork lol.

As for the honorific thing, I don't see anything wrong with Nanoha not using it anymore, but her pondering about being called-chan came off to me as her thinking it playfully and not seriously. So I like it.

If you think it's bad seeing this many people comment on honorifics, you shoulda seen what I got when Yuuno called Candy "Candy-kun"
