^And people thought electing the next US President was cumbersome.

You'd probably have a higher chance winning the lottery than becoming Pope, even if you met all the initial requirements.

Fun fact:

In 1845, the island of Ireland had a higher population then Brazil, Mexico, Egypt, Iran, Vietnam, Thailand and Portugal. It's also possible that Ireland had a higher population then all of Spanish speaking South America, though I'm not as sure on that one. Today Ireland had about 6 million people, while many of those countries are around 100 million.

Amazing... it's even more amazing when now there are many more Irish outside of Ireland than within it.

FACT: Sponges are the only animals that if broken down to the level of their cells, can reassemble themselves. A sponge is passed through a sieve to break apart its cells. The cells recognize each other and reform into small new sponges.

Developed Countries Also Have Lower Marriageable Age

Quote:
Brunei: No minimum marriage age specified
Saudi Arabia: None currently, legislation for age 18 is being considered.
Singapore: 21, 18 with parental consent, below 18 with special marriage license.
Canada: * Varies by province, but generally 18 years old, 16 years with parental consent, 15 years with judicial consent.
Canada is a strange place. It seems that you can marry almost anyone or anything.
