Perfect Blue [movie]

So I watched Perfect Blue 5 minutes ago, and I am not sure at all of what happened. My first impression is that maybe the entire movie was the delusions of the has-been pop-artist Rumi (pretending that she was Mima), but I'm not at all sure about that. Others have said that Mima really was having issues and Rumi was pushing her into it. If somebody could help me out, that would be great!

Kinda a lame ending, I thought....too simple. Like an episode of some '80's crime drama.

Perfect Blue [movie]

I just got a new anime movie. It's called Perfect Blue. It came out a few years ago and I got it(VHS) and watched it and I was impressed and I loved how the story kept you in it till the end.
I give Perfect Blue **** out of ***** (4 out of five stars)

I saw that movie a couple of moths ago... i dont think i liked it vary much, it really messes with you head when mima thinks that someone else is after her who is a fragment of her imagination.

This movie seemed very schizoid at first. Kinda like a Hitchcock film. In fact, I would say that is the best quick description... "Think animated Hitchcock."
I liked it, I didn't go gaga pver it... but it was ok.
I don't think I need to help clarify the events, as that was already done.
Although I will disagree with Fronzel on the ending. Sure it was simplistic...but it fit. After all the delusional depictions and hallucionogenic animations... the simplistic ending grounds the rest of what you have been seeing. It makes the whole deal make sense and sort of anchors it to reality in that way.

Of course, that is my perceptions, and no one is obliged to agree with them.

I saw the HD version not that long ago, still feels the same, just in better detail.

I really like it.

One thing I will add, if you ever feel like tracking down the live action. DON'T, its rubbish. Plus the cover looks like a porn film, not good when your boss sees you lending it to someone you work with.

Yep there is a topless woman on the cover (nips out) who isn't even in the film.
