Yeah, I'm fine. I'm gonna have a preventive surgery done in two weeks, but that is a harmless one.

All in all, what happened was that I began to have intense abdominal pains on Tuesday and after trying some stuff at home, I decided to go to the hospital. Turns out that was a good idea, because after they put me to rights there, they told me that if I had left things untreated, I could have died of blood poisoning from the intestine. Now they are going to insert a net over two ( pretty adjacent ) places where my intestine seems to have pushed up. I hope I translate it right, but it seems like I have two hernias and those will get treated with the surgery in two weeks.

Jesus, man. I had an appendectomy a couple of years back, but that was nowhere as complicated as your procedure seems to be. Hopefully you'll be as good as new in no time.

Actually, it's a pretty standard procedure. Put a net above the two places ( which are very near to each other, so they will probably just use one net ), sew me up, presto. As far as the doctor goes, it's not too complicated. It's an abdominal hernia.

Here's what's gonna happen with the surgery. I hope none of the complications happen. Actually, reading through that stuff, I am getting second thoughts... well, I'll see about that soon.

And as for how it happened, I just got older and more heavy, that's all. Not enough movement, due to lots of time spend before the computer at work and in my free time.
