In the end, I was not disappointed by this tournament because it came to a point wherein I did not mind whoever would win. What was only disconcerting was the anti-=repeat winner mentality, but hey, that's human nature. Oh and trivia, the winner of best moe last year and this year were the ones who were knocked out in round 2 in JSaiMoe. Hina, last year's champ, lost in Round 2 in Japan, and Horo did the same this year. Coincidence? maybe.
That's interesting. Of course, in 2006 it was the complete opposite, when Suiseiseki won both.

Back when Suiseiseki won both Saimoe tourneys, Korea didn't have a good international coverage, so the fact that she won two is very misleading.

I like the "tail over thighs" phrase. But the match was decided by the fangirls who doesn't care much of (probably) tail and (certainly) thighs.

I wasn't planning to participate in the Men's tournament, but now I start thinking that it will be a good fightback to support some "all-around character" (i.e. loved by both gender) to win that tournament and break fangirls' hearts. Any suggestion? Probably not someome from Gintama or Ribbon. Well.. Lelouch is the perfect candidate except that.. he is the reigning champion. (Telling the truth, I don't like him anyway.)

Hooray for Horo! I'm so glad she won. The girl I wanted to win JSaimoe won the Korean one instead. ^^

I would have preferred Kyou but Horo is definitely nowhere near the last one I'd want to win so I'm fine with that. Shame that this seems to be the less despair-inducing outcome overall though, heh.

Just over 13,000 votes too.

If only Saimoe could generate that much traffic and still be considered credible.

I guess for some people, yeah. As for myself, I'm still down in the dumps... haven't posted much recently nor are they the normally lengthy ones I do post, plus there's some posts I still have to reply to but can't seem to get into it. So depression for me is pretty bad, especially when I had no choice but to marathon the last 8 eps of Gossip Girl (great show btw) just to keep my mind off things.

You get one or the other, obviously.

What did I say about the winner being the fangirls' favourite?
Alright.

Not disappointed since my two picks were lost in the semifinals, so I can't say I cared much about this match.

And so, we bid adieu to a contest of factions, fangirls, controversy, giant vote totals, and pure lulz to look forward to Super Best when we may very likely have a male winner.
lol.

I voted for Kyou, but I am actually quite satisfied with the result as I didn't mind which of them won. Congrats to Horo for winning.

Not that interested in Super Best Moe this year, it's either because of the apparent new format, or because the expected results will disappoint me , so maybe I'll pass SBM this year.
