In the Disappearence novel (which the second season is about), Kyon sees long-haired Haruhi and Itsuki at some other school. Kyon tells Haruhi that he is "John Smith" etc. and they plan on infiltrating North High, Kyon's school. Once there, Haruhi tells Kyon that she and Itsuki need a disguise of some sort (since Haruhi and Itsuki were wearing different school uniforms). So, Haruhi and Itsuki dress up in Kyon's gym clothes. Haruhi also does her hair in a ponytail to make it seem more like she was from North High's Athletics Club.

Probably, although some people are hoping it'll be announced on the 7th, the day of Tanabata.

They're talking about the new season a lot lately, much more than Clannad. Possible Clannad was pushed back? Did it underperform?

I believe Clannad sold quite well, but Haruhi IS KyoAni's most popular show, after all, so it would make sense for them to get a move on and finally release the second series before the entire fanbase gets tired of waiting.

In the instance that the picture is based off of (sneaking into North High), Haruhi and Koizumi both manage to get into Kyon's pants.

Unfortunately, I think that that ponytailed Haruhi was the only thing related to S2 in that issue. At least from what I've heard on the SOS-Dan image boards.

I feel like they're giving us crumbs and crumbs, and a lot of crumbs, but not the sweet delicious cake. Also translated to, I've seen Alt. Yuki, and Alt. Haruhi, but not much info on the 2nd season, one I've been waiting for, it increases my desire to view it, but alas...>:

I don't know for sure if that's all they're giving us, though. That's just what I've seen in the SOS-Dan image boards. But we'll see.

I agree with you about the "crumb" thing. They're sort of teasing us. I'm assuming it's to make the anticipation for S2 higher or something.
I don't even think they've really done much with S2, other than the new character designs. Maybe they're just starting with the voice acting or something.

Unfortunately, I don't know about the episodes. But I think it'll be 14 episodes again, to keep it consistant.

Does anybody know when the first anime was announced and confirmed, when the premiere date was announced (or when any new information was given), and when the anime actually premiered in Japan?

This might help for predicting how long it might take KyoAni to announce something or when S2 might premiere.

when i was in nagoya during late may that year, i've seen tons of haruhi posters around gamers.. and about a month before that, ia lready have people in another forums using "Haruhi-ism" sigs and avatars...
so several months perhaps? exactly how early i don't know
