I'm also reminded of his confession and how he said he liked her from the moment he first saw her.
I got the same feeling too. It was quite peculiar how Aoki overlapped nana's sister over Yui when everyone should remember each other. He didn't have any recollection of her.

Speaking of which it was interesting that Aoki asked Taichi what love is. That was a good question to ask to Taichi given his odd behavior given his situation. I hope they will explore it further in the next episode.
Tell us, Taichi what is love for you? Since you seems to not having a clear idea about it

Simple case of shyness and timidity tuned towards the wrong direction by making all the wrong psychological choices. Tsk tsk.

Well, she said she was scared of everything and it's known that one way people tend to deal with fear is acting agressive.
That's how Inaba did to 'overcome' her fears and shyness. Like you said, making all the wrong choices.

I'm finding this really bizarre, but like I said on the last page, it seems that Cry out was pulled from the iTunes Store for no apparent reason...

What I'm curious about is when they revert to child form, what if something traumatic happens? Will it change their personality as if their childhood was affected, once they regain their adult form?

They addressed that issue in here:

Spoiler for comparison with the novel during their first transformation:

I'm guessing no? That would be like changing the past and since the characters don't have any memories of the event I'm not sure how it can affect them. Unless their 12-5 memories get burried in their current past without them being aware of it.
It's actually kinda creepy, the mixture of present and past that we see as their kid selves seems to stop existing after five hours.

Himeko was clinging into Taichi even when she's a child, she's been scared since childhood and still until now.. And Taichi doesn't seem to be that concerned about her words even though she meant them, thinking that she's a strong person and can overcome hardships but she's weak after all.
I don't feel that Iori mind her to have Taichi, I think she's fine with him having another lover..
Still thinking if Yui will join them as well!

Wonder how long that "harem" tag is going to stay. Is anime in such a dire state that we assume all girls will end up with the same male lead until proven otherwise?

Well, I think you answered your own question with this quote here:

That is the sense I got from it, since it feels like they experienced that time, but it was so far in the past and such a short time, that it feels like a distant memory. Furthermore, the memories of events that occurred around the age they leapt to feels like present day when they resort back to their original form.

It is hard to say, but as Lantern put it, we will probably never know.

That was interesting what you said. It is unfortunate that we will probably not find out, but the arcs so far has been trying to keep the participants as who they are, except for some growth along the way. Having major changes will dramatically change their character, which is probably not what Heartseed is after.

Personally I don't think it would affect them because when they revert back to their normal bodies, they do not remember anything that had happened- The only thing that was clear were their emotions and memories of that particular age.

So you can think of it as peeking through a window to their childhood.

Think about it; if they were really affected by their actions, wouldn't all the girls start to view Taichi as their onii-chan ?

(Not like that siscon-yarou would have minded... >.>)

I'm not sure. It feels like a melding of the two time events. When they are younger, they still have a lot of the information that they had when they are normal, like the names of the people in the group. However, they revert their mind to that stage, so they call Taichi onii-chan.

It is a window to their childhood, but things seem to mix up. The curious factor is that they don't remember the events from the time they are turned younger, but I do get a sense that they sort of "felt" it instead of remember it.

Right now, the logic of how the whole thing works is a little fuzzy. I'm hoping more clarity will be presented in the next few episodes (OVAs).
