Things change, he isn't a kid anymore and he hasn't ever called her his lover or even thought of her as such so far. Hell he said he "won" again over her so I doubt their relationship is all sunshines and rainbows or if it even was in the first place.

Again, this ain't one of those "High school boy goes for girl he likes!" situations. Whom he loves doesn't matter.
If L-11 saw courting Shouko as useful (which it would be as it would make manipulating the Prime Minister easier), he would do it without a second thought. Love is unimportant here. And even if it were, Liselotte is royalty and it is highly possible he doesn't expect to end with her even if he succeeds.

Well, supposedly it was hinted during the radio show that L-Elf would change because of Shoko. So if the courting to manipulate speculation holds true Shoko might not be as easily controlled as suspected (though we kinda already have precedent for that in show anyway).

Well, I' m looking forward to seeing this actually happen. L Elf cannot even read through Shouko's words and unpredictable actions. He who has locked himself away from the world gets to explore his feelings again because of this benign girl she just barely knew. Before he knows it, he is already drawn to care for her, and that's if it is really going to happen.

That's what I worry so much about L-Elf/Shouko's relationship the most. I would personally feel ok for him to take care of Shouko while she's soothing his emotions (and he might even see Shouko as "Liselotte"), but since Haruto and Shouko have always known to each other since childhood, it's best kept for L-Elf and Shouko playing the roles as brother and sister respectively and I don't want them to fall in love with each other and such, otherwise I would feel cheated.

Shoko can have an effect on L-Elf without going the route of romance. However, they've really gone out of their way to show how this conflict is doing a number on the Haruto/Shoko friendship. This last thing with her father feels like it could be the final nail in the coffin for any possible romance. It's not that I think Shoko would ever blame him but I do believe she'd keep it a secret from him. So then we'd have Haruto keeping stuff from her and vice versa. Maybe L-Elf would spill the beans though I don't see how he'd benefit from that.

Shoko and L-Elf don't even have a brother/sister relationship now and he has seen her at her worst while she has forced him to adapt and change his plans even if unintentionally. They can still work as a dynamic without romance but this is anime, there's going to be something there between them as they spend more time together. That and Haruto has only so far broken Shoko's heart and moved on to Saki, for multiple reasons, so she doesn't have anyone to count on anymore but L-Elf now which is what he may have wanted all a long. As surely he knew that Haruto's vampirism was going to get worse and he factored in that Haruto and Shoko would be forced to rely on him because of that.
Besides, Shoko x Haruto's ship has taken a severe beating. I would feel far more cheated if she took Haruto in anyway despite all of this and Haruto leaves Saki hanging. |

Instead of those who are dear to Shouko, it was L elf who saw her in actual complete misery. That could be a start of a new bond. The hard-hearted L Elf learns how to be a bit gracious towards Shouko whilst the the tenderhearted heroine learns how to limit her sympathetic understanding towards anybody but him. They are both opposing charges to each other that they stick together at times. L Elf will soon realize nor Shoko that they are both alike in some ways. . . each of them has a pitiful experience.
I will feel more betrayed and cheated than my Shoko if Haruto tries to squeeze himself in her life which is already in chaos. He can't be commited to more than one girl, Saki. He learned from L Elf that love can't simply be split in half.

Childhood friends don't always need to fall in love. I personally feel the idea of L-Elf and Shoko developing a bond throughout all of this to be far more interesting. I've thought that might be the case since early on and I feel like the possibility is just growing.
That cow-head thing is interesting. I gotta wonder though, who is to say the galactic empire is evil? Maybe killing off the vampires in the end is the right choice. If it even is a vampire vs empire thing. Maybe Saki just went rogue. Either way the possibilities are interesting. I just don't see L-Elf or Shoko turning full-on evil if they are the ones who lead to the formation of the empire. |

I wonder. If Haruto and Saki's shotgun wedding does actually follow through, what would that mean? Connections based on loneliness and circumstance aside, his proposal felt like it was based more on guilt for what had happened and feeling bad for Saki. Now throw in the fact that he and Shoko have feelings for each other. They may not have acted on them yet, but they obviously do. Can we expect Haruto to just up and forget about Shoko? Even after resigning himself to be a monster and saying he doesn't deserve her love, he still has feelings for her. I think we're gonna see a situation like L-Elf said. If it comes down to it, can he really split his love between two girls?

After what happened in ep10, I am pretty sure Haruto will keep himself away from being alone with Shouko so he wouldn't risk raping her as well. Shouko will not take well to that, but I doubt anything would make Haruto change his mind: any kind of pain is better than risking hurting her by going Valrape on her. It is because he loves her that he will keep away from her.
As for Saki, there is no doubt that the of them were getting closer so even if it is mainly for guilt now, it will likely become honest later on.

I also see Shoko not telling Haruto that he killed her father which will push them further a part especially if she avoids him and keeps to herself outside L-Elf escorting her everywhere as he's her second at this time. Whether he becomes more or not is still up in the air but I prefer more as Shoko and L-Elf have forced each other to grow as characters even if that isn't their intention. It just happens naturally when they're together which is awesome.

I think he'll just pick Saki in the end. First out of doing what is right, and later out of genuine love. I don't actually think Haruto is only with Saki out of guilt. I dislike Haruto but he at least earned some respect when he took a second to go out of his way and address Saki after she said to find Shoko. He knew she was feeling vulnerable and he didn't like it. I feel like they really do have a connection and he genuinely cares about her. He doesn't love her but he definitely has a special bond with her that I think will evolve. |

There's also the whole opposites tend to attract though due to events L-Elf and Shoko are becoming less extreme in their differing views so I wouldn't put it past it for them to even out or at least use the other to even themselves out.
