Not 100%. Upsets can happen. I'd say I'm around 70-80% sure she will. Shana and Kanade are her only competition and they both just took a dive off a cliff.

Isml 2012 Division Finals — Day 3

The first exhibition was a tough choice between Marika and Madoka, but I eventually went with Madoka. Maru!
Had Marika been in any other Exhibition group, I'd definitely picked here there (ok, perhaps it also would've been tough against Nyarlathotep).

ARENA 01: Tachibana Kanade [Yui]
ARENA 02: Gokō Ruri (Kuroneko) [Eucliwood Hellscythe]
ARENA 03: [Misaka Mikoto] Nagato Yuki
ARENA 04: Aisaka Taiga [Saber]

ARENA 08: [Hanaki Yuka] Itō Serika Shinonome Kanata
ARENA 09: Kasuga Tamaki Koko Hekmatyar [Nyarlathotep]
ARENA 10: Hisau Maiya [Onjōji Toki] Sasako

Regarding the Round 1 results:
lol, Saber won against Shana. Epic! XD
Besides that, I wouldn't have thought that Yui would win against Yuri (both AB).
Yuki winning against Mio and Taiga winning against Azunyan was also unexpected.

Alright, here we go. Come on, Zessica and Touki. Win your matches to give me hope that there is some hope that I will be able to see you come next Regular Season.

I hope that is the case, because I saw that result as either people not wanting Shana to win this year or make sure Shana has a hard time winning this year. I based this on the following:
Spoiler for Assumed PS2 Bracket:

Shana has to first take care of the weakest Nova loser of the semi-finals, then take care of the winner of the Stella Cricket, after which she has to defeat either the strongest Stella semi-final loser or the loser of the Nova finals in order to make it to the finals this year. Her chances of winning are either really good or really bad depending upon what happens in the next two match days.

So, unless Saber continues her surprise wins, Shana will most likely face Yui, then Mikoto, then between Eu and Yuki, and then reach Kanade?

Tough road but at least she won't meet Taiga.

Are you sure that's a good thing? Shana always beat Taiga 1v1, no matter how higher Taiga is above Shana in the rankings. In Topaz, Shana won by about 1500 votes!

True, but I kinda meant she could use Taiga to take down someone, in this case Kanade.

I see the candidates for winning something to be Kanade, Eu, Mikoto, Shana and Taiga. The rest don't have much chance unless we see an influx of voters (who don't already back one of the mentioned). And I still feel defending champion syndrome will hit Mikoto.

So they've gotta be looking for a Shana v Taiga final if possible.

Though the Saber v Shana result still raises a few eyebrows.

Yeah just basically take Mikoto out of the equation because she won't win again. Shana vs. Taiga final is very possible. Let's see if winning the circlet affects anything.

Let's see how this plays out. Shana's best shot at the tiara is by meeting Taiga in the finals.

Oh wow, 1 vote separating Eu and Gokou Ruri. Not that I mind, as I'll be voting Kuroneko next round, but damn, 1 vote. I guess the more voters turn up, the more popular shows will get attention. Not good news for Eu. She probably has no chance now.

Taiga owning Saber was expected, which must mean the Shana fanbase are really calculating.

As for exhibition, I guess Nyarlathotep can make it into Nova next year. While Toki needs more given that her opponents look like weaksauce. So, still unlikely I'd say. The rest, I don't think tell us much.

Nyarlathotep looks like a good candidate to be in next year. Tsubasa might make it in as well. Toki needs to do better than that if she wants to make some noise, but she should be able to make it to the Preliminary Round.

- Awesome win for Ruri over Euu. One vote made a difference. Does this mean Kanade will win the Circet, or will she pass on it assuming that there is still only one #1 seed that has ever won the tiara? (And I'm almost certain the majority who voted for Ruri (Me included) will say "It was my vote that helped Ruri"

- Railgun and Taiga convincingly won as expected.

- Madoka Kyouno had her chance to prove that she could do well in ISML next year..... and she finishes last! Not "MARU!" enough I guess.

- Looks like Toki has taken her luck with her to ISML as well. Will it be enough next year?

- Nisemonogatari is still doing well. Tsubasa Hanekawa wins a match as well.
- Close win for Miu, but a win is a win.

I'll take a stab at how the final bracket might look like depending on where they finish the first postseason bracket + the vote percent of when they lost their last match (Total guess)
Spoiler for Possible Tiara bracket:

Toki will have another chance (soon) to prove her worth. For now, a clean global sweep is nothing to scoff at no matter her opponents. She can enjoy the limelight.

Toki needs lots of work if she wants to break the depressing streak that Saki has in ISML.

that one vote...
I guess Eu's fans will be in more depressed and raging state than Shana's fans...

This late in the game there's no more time for screwing around. After a poor showing in Elimination 2, Kanade seems like she's bounced back. She does as well as she normally does against Yui. However, it was an intra-series match she there was no alternate fanbase out to get Kanade and trying to push Yui over Kanade was hopeless. After a fairly lackluster start, Kuroneko comes back with a huge upset over Eucliwood. Back in Aquamarine, Eucliwood scored nearly 57% on Kuroneko and looked to be on pace for an even bigger win in the playoffs. Kuroneko would have none of that and edged past Eucliwood by just a single vote. Like Shana before her, Eucliwood needs to find a way to fix whatever went wrong and this match and come back even stronger in the combined finals. Beating Eucliwood was one thing but now Kuroneko faces an even greater challenge in Tachibana Kanade. Good luck Kuroneko, you'll need it. In the regular season, Yuki was the only person to successful deal a blow to Mikoto's would be perfect season. The playoffs gave Mikoto a chance for revenge and she took it. Not wanting to risk an upset, Mikoto demolishes Yuki on route to the Stella Division finals. Not to be counted out, Taiga goes to town on Saber who is fresh off an upset over Shana. Taiga already got an impressive 56% on Saber in the regular season but now bumps that up significantly to 64%. Taiga can't take all the credit for the big win, though. Saber is likely suffering from backlash from the previous round. Even so this is a very good performance by Taiga and shows that she just might be able to compete with Mikoto after all. It'll definitely be an interesting match.
