Yes, 2 separate anime in a general sense, but they are STILL the same thing in all other ways...exact same characters, same type of storyline and such.

There's no reason to make 2 separate threads for something that is really the same type of thing. Like, for example, Rayearth...there's Rayearth, Rayearth 2, OVA and manga...what's the point of making 4 separate threads for images when you can just it all in 1?? There wouldn't be, so I don't see any harm with grouping them together since there's no real difference aside from parts of the animes.

Put image on Imageshack or other image site.
Copy the linking code they provide for forums and paste it into your post.

Please don't make me laugh! The stories are TOTALLY different. and there is 0 plot at that. All in all i did not like how Shaft did this at all. If they had made this into a true season 2 and continued with the stroy from the 1st series, then they might had gotten better reviews from fans instead of ending up with a .9% ratings for the last episode.

Considering the manga has a fairly large established fanbase - its just kind of amazing to watch two separate anime productions 'crash and burn' for essentially similar reasons (chose not to follow the story line or understand the underlying attraction elements). I actually loved Shaft's artwork as a different interpretation of the characters... but for me they just missed the boat thinking it could survive purely as PPD: The Second Season. There are so many moments in the series that show how well it *could* have gone. And this is the same production group that took a dark manga like Tsukuyomi Moon Phase, managed to inject some zany comedy, yet still maintain the connection and continuity with the source material.

Ah well... there's still the manga. (wanders off to other activities...)

Of course, with Ayaka and Nekane looking very similar (especially in the SHAFT anime), it's easy to confuse Negi's onee-chan for someone who has "restraining order" written all her.
