Speaking of men's clothing, I've noticed the design of Towa's uniform kind of resembles the one worn by Jumonji Tsubasa from Kyokai no Rinne.

I think Moroha is knowledgeable it thanks to Kagome's and Inuyasha's upbringing. Also it is obvious that she knows about modern Japan.

That Kikyo form that Tree of Ages borrows is a blatant nostalgia pandering. But other than that, I have no big complaint for this episode. The pacing is fast & to the points without sacrificing some necessary character moments. The action is also dense & no-nonsense. Plus, the plot thickens with Rin & Sess.

Speaking of plot, looks like the antagonist will be Kirinmaru? Though I must say, just how many past rivals & enemies that Inuyasha's dad had to pass on his sons? If I'm not mistaken, the great moth demon from the first movie was also said to be his rival. And then there's the salty noble dude from movie 3 who also loved Inuyasha's mom back then. No wonder Sess chose to "Screw it, I'm out"

Teacher's name is Kirin Osamu; Tree of Ages mentions demon called Kirinmaru.

Were the movies ever considered canon with the fandom?

Because I liked how Movie 3 attempted to briefly flesh out the history of Inuyasha's mum and dad, a plot point Takahashi dropped entirely after dealing with the Tessaiga inheritance arc.
That entire history would've made for a pretty nice sidestory manga spinoff in the right hands. How they met, the breakdown of the relationship between the father and Sesshomaru's mother, Takemaru's growing desire and jealousy, etc.

Fun episode but it looks like the staff had no idea where to put the cast. Even the opening vid only shows the characters' faces rather than the background. Sesshomaru's children got split only to be reunited next episode and stay together regardless of any coldhearted stuff. Moroha was way better put in this episode considering she was way underplayed in her introduction.

Still, making Sessho and Inuyasha disappear is like an excuse to avoid ending the series in five minutes. Wonder if the reason for this strange pacing is that they are testing cours.

I am really excited for this series. MAkes this 31yo fan so nostalgic. It's like watching my friends kids grow up. Feel nostalgic and proud. Will watch no matter how shitty it may become. Just like DB super. (Off topic) In fact its already better than DB super cause mostly goku had the spotlight....
