Can hardly make up my mind for arc transitions or cliff-hangars, original ones at least.

One of the planned is to have the Minerva pitting against the Gospel (veeeery late into the story this time) and it goes like this scene. (Gundam UC 6 cliffhangar ending.)

That boy... his ingenuity frankly scared me, he's not Tabane genius, not as smart as me even, but damn if he didn't stood head and shoulder on top of everyone else, he has such a broad viewpoint that he picked where us scientist left and forget.

We've been blinded by the same paradox, I.S. regularly bend the fundamental laws of reality, and yet, for a decade we've bound to pesky simple thing such as gravity and atmosphere. The potential is there as along, you just need few sacrifice to walk into different path.

Now, he will need that unit he designed himself. Sailing across the ocean toward the horizon at speed that would make fun the fastest I.S. out there. His wing spread, and his drive ignited.

The friction is so strong that his shield fizzled as the sheer force turned the air into plasma. But I.S. was made with punishment in mind, something like escape velocity is nothing above them.

Even with the increased number of sensor and satellites, something moving at twenty five thousand kilometer per hour is impossible to track precisely.

And he breached the Statosphere, his shield become even more erratic as he entered the high energy air layer of Ionosphere. Something White Knight have and other unit lacked, Ichika had recreated it. a True Infinite Stratos.

I smiled, remembered the forgotten dreams that I have ten years ago. Back when we're just a couple of curious and innocent couple of genius, untainted by the cruelty and betrayal of adults, untainted by our sin.

"Why Infinite Stratos? Human flight has been so long confined under that... barring the occasional, desperate or costly attempt... that's the border the sky had created for us... that's why, beyond the Stratosphere toward the infinite possibilities... Icchan. The love child of our dream, sweat and blood..."

I've long entrusted our dream to the new generation, Tabane, but how about you? Did you still look at the sky and wondered what else waiting for us there?

I went to visit my GF's school (a Technical Uni) and now I found the answer to insane production boost of PT and Kirishima. This idea is not canon by the way.

Not necessarily

All I.S. frame is built based on what people already knew, otherwise no mass production at all. Unless new tech is involved, all frame use the same basic material. By definition that's already conventional.

Golem spam can be done for a good reason you know? Tabane has very few people she trust, much less cared about. She done automation by choice as well as necessity. Because demand on frame is very little the unecessary complex production is the norm, remember I.S. core is the hard limit for everyone except Tabane.

I made this concept to make a thin line between super prototype, ace custom, next gen mass production etc, WITHOUT foregoing rule of cool. For example, Kurogane > Uchigane, but both new batch of mass production and customized Uchigane is superior to both.

So they have cores dedicated to generating the IS frame alloy? Or all IS there using material which exists in the current periodic table?

I follow two lore: the first one is I.S. core is everything and I.S. frame is lump of junk without it, while the second one is I.S. core and the frame are different kind of beast and something else can be used in place of I.S. core.

Sacred Twins follow the second route, which means the frame is not something that can be created with modern technology... in universe. So we have something like lighter than air reinforced titanium foam and metal denser than tungsten without being short lived radioactive hazard. So I guess it's half technobabble and half handwave.

EDIT: canon evidence show that I.S. core made the difference still. Arena wall is made of same material, and yet thin I.S. frame somehow more durable than it.

Thing is, the world 'conventional' in that verse is quite muddled, since I.S. development bled to other areas.

EDIT: I'll write a snippet where Iori slap a bulky computer on an I.S. and instead of relying on an internal reactor, entirely depending on I.S. capacitor. the result is... hilarious, put it simply.
